My wife and I were staying for three nights. I was working and she was have a break. We had to travel to Devonport and Spreyton for work and found Launceston a handy 80 minutes from our destination. One day I left the wife for two hours while off to an appointment. A dangerous move as the main shopping is a mere three blocks away. WE ordered in room dining twice and quality and variety od meals was excellent. Room was extremely comfortable only small minus was the AC did not heat all parts of the sapce. Highly recommended to any traveller, as we said on checking out, 'see you same time next year"

Very clean, spacious and modern rooms. Great service with a smile helpful and professional. Speedy check in and out. Great gym and equipment of good quality. We would definately stay there again if we ever go back to Tasmania.

Quality Hotel. THe service upon Checkin and all through out my stay was exceptional. Nothing was too hard or an inconvience. The rooms are large and clean with ample natural light. The location is perfect just a short stroll to the city, I will certainly stay here again.

Good Points:- Check in was easy and staff member friendly. Room was lovely, comfortable, well appointed, clean and spacious. Great bed. Evening meal was excellent - beautifully cooked. Recommend the chowder and steak - great stuff Breakfast was OK - you know the usual stuff. Bad Points:- Parking is terrible - very squishy, to the point where "let the passenger out, park the car and then the driver still has to squeeze out". Although the service in the restaurant is very friendly that's all it is. Waited for drinks, no spoon to eat the yummy soup with, and the restaurant was freezing, (air con minus 15, at least) had to go up to room after ordering to get jumper. Breakfast - Unfortunately the service was definately not to standard. Very, very casual (yeah I know it was Sunday morning, but [...] man!!!)Very slow. (not the kitchen) Ordered item didn't arrive, let staff know, was promised it would be removed from account and quess what - it wasn't.

The queen suite was dark and faced a brick wall and the shower was uninviting. Within minutes of being there we upgraded to a spa suite for and extra $30. The suite was sunny, well appointed and even though we didn't use the spa, the upgrade was well worth the extra.

The room was very comfortable, bright and cheerful. The staff at the front desk were very abrupt and almost rude. Remotes for the tv were not working in the room and the shower had no soap holder!!! Another bad thing was that parking cost $7 per night! Other than that, the bed was really comfortable, and housekeeping and room service staff were all really friendly with great service.

Had a very comfortable stay at the Sebel Launceston. The Sebel is located in the CBD, only a few blocks walk from shops and good restaurants. The one bedroom suite provided so much more than a standard hotel room. The suite was like a mini apartment with separate areas - bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet and combined lounge/dining/kitchenette. Although we did not eat "in", it was possible to do so because of a microwave, good size fridge, etc. The one bedroom suite had: space separate rooms very contemporary decor in good condition comfortable king size bed Large thick bath towels and bathrobes to wear, if you were so inclined. good quality everything e.g. an excellent iron and reasonable ironing board! The stay was even more enjoyable as a delicious and inexpensive buffet breakfast was available in the hotel's small restaurant. We are looking forward to trying other Sebels but also returning to this one.

Lots of space style and comfort for the price, with extremely helpful charming staff - who during our stay were a little too invisible though! Perhaps it was just a very quiet time of year. No complaints at all though and recommend the Sebel chain to anyone. Compared to the [another] chain it is paradise!

Within the heart of the Launceston CBD this would have to be the best hotel in Launceston by far. Warm welcome from the friendly staff who are more than happy to cater to any need, well presented self contained suites which include air-conditioning, tv, dvd player, adsl connection, highly reccomended hotel. I will be staying again.

This is a brand new hotel, and the service and the design of the rooms displays real care and attention to detail. Every suite has its own balcony. For those arriving in Launceston by bus, the hotel is just one minute's walk from the Cornwall Square Transit Centre.
