Stayed one night on two separate occasions. Good chain hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was a standard buffet which was plentiful . Dinner buffet was mainly fish based so for a vegetarian a bit limiting. Delicious desserts. Rooms were of a good size and if you join the Sebel club you get free wifi in your room. In a good position for all that the town of Cairns has to offer.

Rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 80's. Shower curtain in the bathroom...haven't seen one of those for a long time. There was a peculiar smell in the room and aircon blew directly onto your face while sleeping. The usual qualities of a five star hotel were all missing - had to take my own bags to my room. Check in staff just handed you the key. Three star at best.

We stayed at the Sebel Cairns for 8 nights, thanks to a great rate we found on hotelclub.com. Perfect home away from home. The rooms are large, roomy, clean and comfortable with a great harbour view. Valet parking is expensive at $20 per day but we just used street parking instead. Hotel is in good condition, pity we could not use the pool as it was too cold and the spa just was not heated enough. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay there again based on the reasonable rates, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, and the excellent location of the hotel. Thumbs up Sebel!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, we were on a special rate and the hotel was therefore excellent value for money. Rooms were spacious but we were opposite the Casino on a Sat night so that did disturb our sleep somewhat!
