The hotel rooms and clean and neat. The breakfast was good. But, don't ever trust the concierge men(some mr. singh) there at the hotel. They're running another business in parallel.

The only good about this hotel is only the location. Breakfast was pathetic , three quarters of the food are not replenish although at that time were only 830 am . After waiting for thirty minutes , only pastries were replenished . Lastly , the guest phone operators need to improve their handling skills .

We stayed for 7 nights in November 2012. This is our 10th visit to KL and we have a lot of experience with different hotels (3*, 4* and 5*) and I would have to say this hotel is about a 2* hotel if it is compared to any other hotel in KL. Breakfast is very very basic, just eggs and one Asian dish, and very bad coffee. Hardly anything is replenished in a timely manner. There is only one fruit on offer while at other hotels there is at least 3-6 different fruit for Breakfast. There is no yoghurt, no cold meats, no cheese, no vegetables......Hotel is old and in need of refurbishment. Staff are very non responsive.Room cleanliness and comfort was ok. We are surprised as we stayed at Royal Chulan (5*) which is the hotel from the same family of hotels and that was brilliant, so we thought this would be a one step down (as it is apparently 4*), but it was more like 3-4 steps down. Few good thing are: windows can be opened if you wish to do so, swimming pool was good and location was great as it is walking distance to everything. If you wish to stay at this area, chose Swiss Garden (3*) it is great stay, great amentities for the same $$.

We checked in late at night which was no problem and on entering the hotel the lobby is quite grand and gives an idea of what this hotel was like in its heyday. We were on the 10/F which was smoking floor however it did not stink like a lot of hotels do of smoke. The room was acceptable, it was big and spacious. It had a nice flat screen tv, king size bed, wardrobe with safe, dresser and ensuite with shower cubicle. I would say the room needed a refresh as everything seemed a little neglected, carpets were stained here and there, mattress and pillows felt overused, sink and shower looked a little grubby on the edges. In summary I would say is average hotel as I have stayed in far worse and far better. For the location though you really can't go wrong, it is right on the main bukit bintang street where everything happens, from shoppng to nightlife and transportation can all be found within 5 minutes walk. Truly recommended for fairly budget price with ok facilites and great location.

This is my second time staying at this hotel as I love the location which is right smack in the middle of Bukit Bintang shopping belt. It being at the end of Bukit Bintang makes it very quite for the traveller who stays here. Having a full facility hotel really makes the stay more enjoyable as I like to go to the Gym and pool. In house restaurant serves acceptable food but since Jalan Alor is just the next street away and serves food almost 24 hours, your best bet would be to eat out to enjoy the variety. Room was ok. Clean and comfortable and housekeeping does a good job everyday we were there. Room safe could do with an upgrade to a bigger one as I could not fit my laptop in it. Overall experience was good and I will come back again to this hotel anytime.

The location of the hotel is good (it is near the street which we can find food to eat easily) but the hotel is very very old. We don't know why the water will come out from the shower room even it was closed. And we don't know why there is water inside the refrigerator?? There is not variety of food for the buffet breadfast but it was fresh made for the Indian pancake which other hotels can not provide. I will not come again when we next visit KL.

I have been staying in the hotel several times when I was in KL. It is a valuable for money hotel. During my last stay in July 2012, we unwind ourselves in the royal cafe and entertained by the live band.

Royale Bintang was a good value for money hotel. We were a party of 4 adults with 2 rooms. One of the rooms smelt of smoke and was immediately changed for us. The beds were comfy and the bathroom clean and functional. The hotel supplied complimentary water each day and the lobby staff were very obliging. We were able to spend the afternoon by the pool whilst waiting for a late flight home and the pizza we ate there was great.

Was greeted warmly by Mr Tommy Lee at the reception. He was kind enough to let us have a room of our preference. Thanks again Tommy! We enjoyed our stay here in Royale Bintang. Sadly it was only for a night. We'll sure return on our next KL trip.

Loctiong is ok, not far away from Bukit Bintang, but still need about 10 mins walk distance from LRT, and during this road is not easy to walk, all massagers standing on the road. The room is ok, but the toliet is small dark, everything in room is old enough, only 14 channel to choice of the TV program, Breakfast is nothing to eat, only bread and bread

A well-situated hotel, convenient for the central shopping area of KL. The room was comfortable but in need of painting - the Walls seemed grubby. The hotel is currently being refurbished - that will be a great improvement. The staff were friendly but not very efficient. On a number of occasions I had to call housekeeping to come to clean my room -they had forgotten to do so. One strength of the hotel is free wi-fi; another it's pleasant pool.

We arrived at the hotel very late (4 a.m.) and the staff were great. We had requested a king bed and due to late arrival there was not one available however they changed our room the following day. The location is excellent and is right in the heart of the tourist area and in close proximity to public transportation. Walking distance to Chinatown and Little India and all the malls.

Good points: very near to the monorail stations, the food street which comes alive at nights and the large shopping malls; friendly and helpful staff; value for money accommodation. Bad points: bed sheet in the first room was a little stained; window couldn't be closed tight and hence noisy traffice affected sleeping (the hotel staff promptly arranged a change of room the next day)
