The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa Phuket
4 out of 5

Great hotel for first timers to Phuket. There are more simple hotels available at half the price and comparable on room cleanliness etc if like me you don't use all facilities. Note it is as other punters have commented it is a little outdated. Breakfast was edible and plentiful, nothing flash, substaintial variety for all. Staff service was average except for the porter, he was great. Excellent views if you can get higher floors!

Highlights: 1-Reception Area smily 2-Staff welcoming was absolutly disappointing. 3-Room was smily but I asked them to clean again and use a refresher spray to be acceptable. 4-Room size is perfect (BIG) plus toilet is really good. 5-Have to be careful with reception staff while they claim that there is a room facilities get lost and they want to charge us for it, like torch lighter missing, we never saw it in the room or even use it. Overview : I dont receoment this hotel at all, always staff switch our mode from happy to be in a tension mode instead.

Very poor! Housekeeping is horrible! They take your used bath soap but do not replenish it; they fail to put the promised 2 bottles of water daily so you must call nightly and wait for water and they do not clean the bathtub! Parking is a big hassle. The lighting is too dim where you are forced to go for internet access. The breakfast is of very poor quality and no sweetener is available for tea or coffee; some of us must watch our blood sugar levels. We were denied access to any management to voice our issues by staff.

Location is good - walking distance to the beach. However, nearby are massage parlors some are for gay men, sexy night clubs and bars, good dining, clothes shops etc. These are all along the alleyways and streets you just got to choose which one you would like to go to. But people are nice - don't bother you if you just do your own business. Beware of some taxi drivers. Even if you negotiated your price for a return trip, they change the price once you reach your destination and there are no other taxis that could take you back to your hotel. Other than the bad experience with a taxi driver, our stay in Royal Paradise was great. Our room was cleaned daily , staff were helpful, water bottles were given everyday and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Our daughter loved the swimming pool. We will go back to this hotel definitely.

We had booked for 2 nights, left after the first night, this would be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, It was in the sleezy part of town, all the streets leading up to the hotel were massage places or bars. Our door had a gap that you could see into our room. When we arrived there was no power, so no air conditioning or lights, the breakfast left a lot to be desired.

I paid USD 690 for 4 nights and it was just not worth it. The staff was not friendly at all. The tour desk collude with the taxi drivers to rip off any pax that approach them. Last hotel I would recommend in HKT.

Just off main street so walking to malls, bars and markets but quiet. Big hotel - great breakfast selection. A little tired and could do with a refurb but large rooms with balcony. Would stay again and a big thanks to Aris the hotel driver :-)

Everything was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday by friendly staff. Location is great, no need to catch a taxi, easy walk to restaurants, beach and shopping. Stayed 12 nights with 3 children. Staff good with children, great pool, lovely gardens. Will stay again.

We got a room in Royal Wing, which was not very high. If you want to have bird eye's view of Phuket, you need to opt for Paradise wing, which is more expensive. They only told us about that at the point of check in, which was a bit too late. The floor was ceramic tiled, and a bit wet and sticky. The location was great anyway. The busy Bangla Road was just a short walk away, and there was a big shopping mall nearby. The beach was near, too, so you can reach a lot of places on foot.

Location of the hotel was good as it was central to everything in Patong. However, we were unimpressed with the receptionist who did our check-in - she was friendly enough at first but she looked annoyed when we asked her if we can give her our credit card details instead of the 2,000 THB cash for mini bar etc. We stayed in a Deluxe Room, Royal Wing which was generally clean but smelled like the room hadn't been aerated - unfortunately, this continued to be the case each time we came back to the room after a day out (think this was because they can't leave the doors/windows open as there are no fly screens). We were satisfied with the pool area and buffet breakfast. When we asked the hotel staff about the airport transfer, we were asked to arrange it ourselves. We won't stay at this hotel again.

Great location to main street and only 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Large pool area with swim up bar. Always very freindly staff and the breakfast is too die for.....this is the second time and I am still never disapointed..

Clean and quiet. It is located just outside the gay's redlight district. Very close to the center of tourists' activities - redlight district and night lives. It is safe. Close to beach, but need to walk about 10mins. Good view from my room (11th floor) - can see moutain and sea. Make sure you check your amenities as they have forgotten to give us facial towels.
