The Peninsula Hotel Bangkok

Because of overbooking and we were a family group of 3 adults, 1 child, we were upgraded to The Peninsula Suite on level 34, 364 square metres on sheer luxury. being the largest suite in the hotel. We had a wonderful experience staying in such a magnificent suite at such a grand hotel. Everything was first class. The location, the swimming pool, several restaurants - we tried three and they were excellent, the little shuttle ferries for crossing the river, room service, reception, the hotelgym (although our suite had its own gym overlooking the river!) buffet breakfast delicious with a huge range of foods to suit anyones taste.

The room was very comfortable with everything you could expect at this level of hotel.Pool situated on the river a nice spot for watching the world float by. Excellent shuttle boat service across the Chao Praya .Great buffet breakfasts, lunch and dinner menus good. My only negative would be the prices for the spa treatments and massages , with so many excellent alternatives in the city at a fraction of the cost , I chose to take the skytrain to a much less expensive option. Would definitely return.

Best hotel in Bangkok. They could step up the service a little bit. But if you inform them that something is wrong, they will go out of their way to fix it. Make sure your room isn't freezing before you check in. They seem to like to make it ice cold.

Well worth the money, would definitely go back. Service, the rooms and the food were all superb, would find it hard to think of something about it that wasn't 100%. Don't be deterred by the slightly out of the way location - a free shuttle boat runs all day and night.

First class indeed. We stayed in a room with a small balcony which overlooked the river and had a TV-set in the bathroom, excellent! Staff is very professional, we forgot to return our room keys, called them from Osaka and they just said "no problem, don''t worry". Location is a lttle bit out of the way, but frequent river ferries will get you going!

Everything from the first day was much more than my wife and I had expected. We really felt at home, but much more convenient than in our own house. The only little problem for us was that we could not return as we wanted after a few days in Hua Hin, because the hotel was fully booked!

This is likely the best travel bargain presently available anywhere. Spectacular architecturally, great location on the "wrong" side of the river, very good staff. Add free breakfasts (complete buffet) and one-way limo transfer (S Class Mercedes no less), and this is an unbeatable deal. Very highly recommended!

Without doubt, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and fantastic value for money. The attitude of the staff could not be faulted. Being on the west bank of the river, the views of modern Bangkok, particularly at night, were stunning. The room was very large and contained every conceivable amenity. I have friends going to Bangkok next year and I have not hesitated in recommending this hotel to them.

There are problems in communicating with the hotel-staff in English except reception. But I do recommend strongly.
