The Peninsula Beijing Hotel

The Palace Hotel is truly a very luxurious home away from home. The location is unbeatable. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. Large breakfast buffet with the best pastries outside Paris! The in house designer boutiques are very nice, very comparable to their European counterparts. Their Mercedes limousine service is just impressive. Overall, the hotel is a just a great value. Will definitely stay at the Palace again.

The Peninsula Beijing Hotel

Peninsula Palace is by far the best hotel in Beijing! The Jing restaurant serves the most unbelievable breakfast buffet, and the meals are incredible too. Nothing like a 42inch Plasma screen TV in your room and in one in your bathroom!

The Peninsula Beijing Hotel

Only one word to describe this hotel: SUPERB!! Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I have been in about 10 different hotels in Beijing and Shanghai in the last 2 years and this one outperforms all the others. It is also the only hotel where all the staff speak good English. The location is perfect and the room is wonderful. I have used asia-hotels.com before, but this is the first time I get a "standard" room, one normally gets the "worst" rooms when reserving via cheap Internet sites. I can recommend this hotel to every business or leisure traveller.

I travel a lot, staying in 5 stars hotels most of the time. But this is the best hotel I have ever been. The entire staff was very kind, helpful, and English speaking. The restaurants are impecable and the food was great. I travelled with my 9 year-old son and the staff made him feel at home (he also enjoyed the room plasma T.V.). The concierge arranged a private tour to the Great Wall for the two of us, and helped with other Beijing attractions. If it''s within your budget, this is definitely the best place to stay. The hotel Mercedes limo was waiting for us at the airport and helped with the luggage, we did not move one finger. The same occurred when it was time to depart. The hotel had a purified water faucet in the room.

Great restaurant for fusion. Make sure you are on the side facing the Forbidden City...you cannot see the Forbidden City but it is the only view....Service is outstanding, room service is great....you need to ask for whatever you want but if you ask it is delivered....Tour guides are essential but be strong with them...they will take direction but only when given.

The hotel and staff were very helpful organising a car on a couple of occasions that worked out very well. The hotel''s location was very central within walking distance of several attractions. Thank you for your assistance in booking this accommodation. Highly recommended.

This a nice hotel with warm staffs but front desk ladies seems more interesting to the western guests than Asian faces. One small pest may damage the whole image.

The location of the hotel is excellent. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. The only negative comment I would make is that at breakfast one morning out of four the staff was unattentive, but once I brought this to the attention of the management, I was treated like royalty. In addition, the Chinese restaurant is one of the best in Beijing.

The hotel''s heyday was in the past and from global standards it was a bit shabby, old furniture, decor, etc. The hotel is under renovation (to be completed in 2005), so you have to go down a level from the lobby to get to your room and leave. It is quite loud throughout the workday, but we were hardly there during those times.

It is well located for the Forbidden City, other major attractions and shopping. Services in the hotel are extremely over-priced - go outside the hotel for anything that isn''t included. Across the street is a breakfast buffet that was better for half the price.

Excellent hotel which meets the best western standards. Extremely central (10/15 mins. walk from Tiananmen Square), great rooms, nice shopping arcade in the basement, courteous staff, warm welcome (with complimentary fruit basket) and reasonably priced in its category. I''d definitely recommend it to anybody: it''s the place to stay at in Beijing! Stefano (Rome, Italy).

My favourite hotel in Beijing: I have stayed here many times, always happily. Great location, top restaurants (especially Jing), and recently renovated rooms make this a top choice.

Very friendly staff, all excellent english speaking. Not withstanding our good experiences in a number of other 5 star hotels, the Peninsula Palace was above all expectations.

This is too easy to rate, and I probably couldn''t have afforded to stay there if I had not booked it through you. I was on my own nickel and travelling with my 11 year old grandson. The Peninsula Palace may be the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Nice hotel with a great location - close to the Forbidden city. The hotel was undergoing renovation at the time we visited - though it did not impact our stay. Great pool and staff were helpful. Would recommend to others.

An excellent hotel, ideally located in the centre of Beijing. If you like shopping for designer goods, the shopping mall on the lower floors has the biggest collection of such stores in Beijing. The fitness centre and pool are also excellent.

Outstanding. I have nothing but superior praise for the Peninsula Palace Beijing. From the pickup at the airport upon arrival (with a bottle of water after a 10hour trip) to the concierge changing 3 air reservations and 2 hotels (my wife and I stayed an additional night), our experience was second to none. The hotel was an oasis to the city''s noise and pollution, and the staff was AMAZING. I have stayed at other superpremium hotels but the Peninsula is a different world. A must for all travelers to Beijing.
