Location
The Penguin Hotel is 14 miles from Miami Airport and 7 miles from Downtown Miami, home of the American Airlines Arena and the Performing Arts Centre.
Rooms
All guest rooms are tastefully modern with minimalist bathrooms. The rooms are air conditioned and have a refrigerator and plasma TV.
Restaurant
The Front Porch Restaurant in the Penguin Hotel lobby serves excellent American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner with some outdoor tables on the front porch.
General
The Penguin Hotel Miami has wireless Internet access throughout the hotel and there is an elevator to the three floors. Several rooms have stunning ocean views and built-in window seats for enjoying them. The Penguin Hotel's sister hotel is the famous Pelican, also on Ocean Drive. Guests are offered discounted rates to a nearby fitness club and spa. The hotel is well-located for the beach and shops. You should also visit the Everglades National Park or Vizcaya historic home and gardens.

The place seems to be leaking all over and smells musty. In the room the wall paper was peeling off from moisture damage. Also did not like the $15 "Resort Fee" they hit you up with on top of your Orbizt bill for use of a beach towel. Rip off.

very. very expensive for what you get. Hidden cost for Valet parking $ 32.00 per day...Resort charge $ 15.00 a day. Orbiz should check tis hotel to see if you should keep it on your list.

Pro's: Location! This is a great location right on the more quiet end of the strip. It's steps from a Starbucks and like all the other places on Ocean, it's right on the beach. Staff - All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned pretty well, although it seems they clean the rooms later than normal... Cost - Great value for the money. Con's: Room Size - This is not a suite! The rooms are pretty darn small. As long as you're ok with close quarters, it's fine. Just don't expect to have much space... Breakfast - they offer a voucher for breakfast at their sister hotel, the President. Breakfast consists of corn flakes and toast... Literally. All in all, it was a successful stay! I'd stay here again.
