excellent location & very helpful staff, our only complaint was could not get hot water in the afternoon but it was plenty hot enough in the mornings, also had some young people staying in the next room who were very noisy but that is not the fault of the hotel. Apart from this we quite happy with our room & would stay here again

A comfortable stay in a well positioned hotel. We were able to walk to wherever we wanted to go - be it for a cruise on the paddle steamer, a bus tour or general walking around the shops and jazz scene area. The adjoining restaurant was handy for meals and the staff were very helpfull with our queries.

the staff was friendly and nice as everyone in new Orleans seems to be.Overall though the hotel was awful. Our room did not have any window in it, I was so disoriented in the morning , thinking it was the middle of the night. the shower was a bare trickle of water. And the best was our toilet backed up and when I called I was given a plunger to work on it myself. Did I pay for this? It was a busy weekend in new Orleans so the hotel and everything else was packed, which is wh we had to stay there. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear every noise.

We just believe that customers should be warned that there might be rooms with no windows! Also the lift on the right smells moldy, other than that its a great place and the free internet is awesome not to mention the ruby sliper is a great recommendtaion for those who are staying at the pelham and wanna have great breakfast!

If you are looking for a luxury hotel this is not it. If your looking for a quiet, charming, historic, hotel with charecter you have found it. The location is perfect for walking to the quarter, riverfront, and the superdome. The staff members were wonderful. Friendly and helpful in every way. I will stay at the Pelham on all future visits to New Orleans.

My stay in New Orleans was great, but my room was not, with all the extra fees and taxes, which is added to the cost of the room. The Pelham does not provide parking other them parking your car in the hotel parking lot down the street for 30.00 a night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room we had was awful. The window and curtains had fresh blood on them. The fixtures in the bathroom was rusty and molding. The water pressure was a joke. The wall paper was peeling off. Never ate in there restaurant, there is not breakfast with the room, and if you want coffee they have a pot for the entire hotel in the lobby.

I did not expect a great stay due to some of the reviews I had read before I booked it and a very economical price, but was nicely surprised. Hotel had very comfortable beds, nice decor and great location. Clean and pleasant. Will stay there again and recommend to my friends. However if staying at the luxurious hotel is important to you, don't book this one

Hotel was pretty nice. Bathrooms could do with a little work, but the overall room was good. Rooms had a classic New Orleans feel to them.

the hotel had all the basics, but could have done better job with some little things. we had a problem with our bathroom door and couldn't get into our bathroom for a whole night b/c they couldn't find a maintenance man. also it took quite awhile to get our car out of valet parking.

The room was fabulous with tall ceilings and a 4-post bed with traditional step stool. The linens were so soft and the bed very comfortable. My only concern was the woman at the desk was unenthusiastic. I was early to check in (1:00pm) but she would not check with housekeeping to see if they could prepare my single room since I was waiting. I thought customer service meant doing what you can to ensure excellent service. This did not happen. And coffee is only available in the morning so I had to go next door to the restaurant and buy a cup. Not cool. But my room was great!

We only planed to stay two nights, after arriving we knew that we wanted to stay another night because of the charm and the staff. This caused a littles confusion but the orbits and the staff got it taken care of and we enjoyed our stay and paln to stay there again soon. If we had any complaint it would be that the AC had it's own mind and wanted to cool when it felt like not when we wanted it to. But the room was never what I would say was uncomfortable. If you like a lot of water when you shower do not take one in your room, they use water saver heads and they are that ,it is the finest spray I have ever had. But We WILL BE STAYING THERE AGIN. PS had a room with no windows ,but after a night on Burbon st. it is the best night sleep I have ever had . Major pluss for a hangover :)

Hotel is in a great location. The staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in didn't have any windows and one of the plugs/lamps didn't work, so it was a little dark. Wallpaper was starting to come off the wall in the bathroom. The room overall was clean, but could definitely use a little tlc. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room, the hotel is a bargain. The location is awesome! A block from the casino and just a couple of blocks to the french quarter.

I was in New Orleans for a conference and since I enjoy traditional or boutique hotels, I tried the Pelham. Once a beautiful historic property, it has been neglected. Chipped and peeling paint, poor lighting, tired and worn furnishings. Amenities were lacking--only one sad coffee pot in the lobby, nothing in the room, no glasses, only one wastebasket, cheap soap and shampoo. The maid service was non-existent during my stay. Sad and depressing.

Must say I was surprised at the quality and care given guests. The Owner lives on-sight and the Front Desk Staff could not be more helpful. The attached breakfast/lunch shop is a nice addition and it fits well in the general scheme of things. Would absolutely go back

We arrived late on Friday night and found that while the hotel was a bit difficult to find, the location was perfect for our purposes. We were close enough to Bourbon Street and the Waterfront to make for a quick trip, but it was nice and quiet when we wished to sleep in on Saturday morning. The room was a bit on the small side, but we weren't really in New Orleans to hang out in the room. The staff was friendly and very laid back. We would definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel was well situated and basically just fine. It looked better than it actually was--everything was a little shoddy, but it didn't matter much. It was a good deal. Our room, however, did not have a single window--not even the bathroom. The hotel staff could not help us find anything but I guess it didn't matter much....they recommended the restaurant next door for breakfast in the morning but didn't tell us there would be a 20 min wait. The real bummer was the crowd in the hallway that was extremely loud...that went on until 4:00 am, until I reminded them that they were not the only hotel guests..got a very rude remark in return. After all that, I'd probably go back just for convenience, value, and cleanliness.

Arrived on a Friday night on our way back from Florida to Texas. Be patient when circling for a parking space in front of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel and rooms were very charming. The only thing we did not enjoy was the cleanliness of the restroom! This hotel is in a great location - we walked to Bourbon Street and then the next day walked to the Riverwalk streetcar station to take it down to the Frence Market. Oh and by the way, you MUST have breakfast at The Ruby Slipper (attached to the hotel) - it was incredible!

Centrally located quaint hotel with old world charm in the historic section of New Orleans. I did not appreciate a surprise $8/day extra charge for "resort fees" which it does not have (see the small print in hotel description on the internet). Be aware that parking is a problem in this area of New Orleans, but the hotel will park your car in a safe location for $25 a day. You will find just about everything you want within walking distance.

I chose the Pelham for its proximity to the French Quarter, Convention Center, and streetcar and bus lines. It worked out beautifully. Close enough but not on the busy main drag or in the all-the-time busy Quarter. Only going to get better--new management is taking the little bit of shabby out of the hotel, making it fresh and still classic in appearance.

Bad linens (maids do not change the sheets, they just remake the beds) and are knocking on your door around 8:30am then about every half hour after that!, no coffee maker or fridge, no dressers (only a closet to hang clothes). Some of the rooms have a nice bathroom w/ a conter but others just have a pedistal sink w/ a small wicker table for your brush/blowdryer etc., A/C didn't work, had to change rooms, very hard to plug in things, i.e. camera/cell chargers, whenever I would plug something in it would just fall out of the socket, weird??? Extra misc. fees at checkout for phone, internet & safe. even if you do not use it. Do not use the Valet, it is through a third party and takes aprox. 20+ min each time to have car picked up or brought back, plus its $32.00/day. There is parking for $25.00 for 24hrs. directly across the street (a plus). Will not stay here again.
