The Park is very well located in the centre of Calcutta. It advertises itself as a boutique hotel. Check-in at midnight was polite and effective. My request for a quiet room was taken seriously. There is a very popular nightclub and bar in the hotel and after a bad experience in Mumbai, I wanted to make sure I had a good night sleep. The room was clean and well-designed albeit without the trimmings some 5* hotels have. The bathroom was spotless - a major plus for Indian hotels. Breakfast was included. The hotel has a good gym and pool. Finally the staff were accommodating with my request for a (very) late checkout. All in all, a good experience.

The PARK is in a convenient location. Most (tourist) spots are easy to reach and close enough to cover by foot. We were disappointed that the pool is under renovation.

Overall, I found that this hotel was more focused on the design of the rooms than on the facilities/amenities. The room rate is relatively expensive, at least for India. I found the menu at one of the restaurants a bit limited. Location is very convenient though.
