The staff, level of service and facilities are excellent. If you require a secure , secluded "getaway" its definitely worth a visit. If, on the other hand you are seeking a wild social life involving other guests etc , then its not really designed for that purpose. The Spa and the "Carnivore" are reknowned, and there are notable places to visit locally.

Whilst I understand we would be staying in a STANDARD room, I found the room the be sub standard. We could not even shower in the room as the shower door could not close and the water went all over the floor. The finishes in the room were not good and the bathroom walls had three different shades of white painted on them which were indicative of a very bad touch up job. Food great and Spa facilities very good as was the service.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the service overall was good the only thing was that my room was only cleaned after 15h00 which was a bit of a bummer. Overall it was fantactic, what a lovely place - have already recommended it to others

You could quite easily get lost in this cocoon of a hotel as it was so peaceful, out of the way and well appointed. I wish I had longer to stay or it was just that little bit more conveniently located.
