The Majestic Hotel is nestled on Ocean Drive and is only steps away from the breathtaking beaches. This place just really doesn't care about its customers. I didn't expect 5 star treatment for the price I was getting, but from the start this was a beyond bad experience. The room was extremely small and funky, so we wanted to cancel our reservation for the following nights after arriving, but were unable to because "reservations was closed". We then proceeded to wake up at 8 am to call downstairs and were told that the "reservations manager is not in yet, but would be around 9" so we call again and then get a 9:30 time with a "manager is on his way" explanation. Then we call again and front desk says "manager is on his way still but we cant call him". Front desk says we are not allowed to cancel because they "do not have a cancellation policy". Hotel does not allow us to call manager or speak to him at all. Finally at 11 am we go downstairs insisting for some service, and front desk says, "oh! manager has arrived please be seated". We sit and wait another 15 mins. No one comes. So then we walk back to the front desk and receptionist says "Oh you guys are all set, i will refund and cancel reservation". Basically we were stuck in the hotel for over 3 hours because the manager didnt want to give us the time of day and obviously was putting off any issues with the hotel. When he did arrive he probably realized what a non-issue the cancellation is and authorized it within seconds. AWFUL HOTEL and awful service. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE WEBSITE!! pay a bit extra and stay at marseilles!

Awful....it was my daughter's 21st bday and I booked this trip with months of anticipation. When we went to check in to the hotel we were told that we had been moved to another hotel which is off the strip on Washington and 12th St. (if you have ever been to So. Beach you know that Ocean Dr. is the place to be). The front desk clerk advised me that they did not have electricity, since the day before, in some of the rooms and that is why we were moved. When I asked why hadn't I been notified there was no response. I ended up booking my own room (with the help of the front desk clerk) at another hotel right next to this one and I must say it was a much nicer hotel. I will NEVER stay at the Majestic and don't recommend them at all.

For the price of our stay it's what I was expecting. However some of the other hotels on ocean in the same star category have a bit more charm and are more spacious! However the girls and I were there to party so since the room was just a place to sleep and shower it was perfect. The location put us in the heart of the party at night and on the beach during the day!

Not so good. Room was on top of kitchen and in front on the main lobby. To much noise. Location was perfect but no staff attendance. To expensive compared to five stars hotel.

hotel staff is not friendly at all. One of them even tried talking to me. room is too small no amenities
