It's just a 5* in a beautiful place " Pasadena" the only bad thing is they say nothing about the obligatory parking with valet, and not set coffee or tea.

The original landscaping w/ very old palms and "arroyo" style is beautiful, as are the buildings which flawlessly mix historic w/ modern conveniences. If you like historical its heavenly.

I did the Orbits hotel & car package for a quick trip to LA. One of the options was this hotel for a very good rate. It looked good online and it was even better in person. I understand it was a Ritz at one time and they have kept up the look and service. A great find and I look forward to going back.

The gardens are beautiful. Wander across the painted bridge and enjoy each beautiful painting. We loved having coffee in the courtyard each morning. There were a few days where I never wanted to leave the hotel. The only peculiar thing I noticed--no benches or chairs in any of the beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy the scenery. Strange. My only real complaint--they don't have the coffee the cart in the courtyard anymore.

Excellent hotel with unexploited potential. Everything was good without a doubt, but the space available within the hotel means there is a lot that can be enhanced without taking away the heritage elements within the property.
