The Lalit Hotel New Delhi Guest Reviews
While the room rates weren't cheap, though the food and beverage rates were reasonable. The hotel is top quality, and the staff very personable. They had great car service to take you to/from the airport, to/from the train station or on a personal tour. I would always recommend taking a hotel car. We avoided a lot of scammers and beggars during our excursions by being escorted by hotel staff.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Lalit's amazing facility. From the minute I entered the lobby I regretted not being able to stay longer. The hotel has a superb energy flowing through it with a dynamic mix of guests. The room was bright, with great details and features. The gym, spa and pool area were clean, modern and functional. The internet is over priced as is the the dinner buffet. The breakfast selection is vast but the taste is mediocre...as is the coffee.

I was initially supposed to stay in the Lalit end of October but due to an airline cancellation out of my control, I was not able to use the room on that date. The Lalit re-accomodated me, even though I had a no refund booking for two weeks later. My international flight scheduled for very early morning did not allow me to use the full nights booking, but the staff at the Lalit allowed me an early check in and I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent. The price is pretty high for the rooms, meals, the hotel car, and hotel charges for international phone calls. But considering when I arrived, there were two $200k plus Italian sports cars parked out front, I guess the prices are a bargain for some guests. Still a very nice property in Delhi.

The Lalit is a centrally located modern hotel with clean spacious rooms with necessary amenities. We stayed here for three nights en route to other destinations in India to recuperate from our transatlantic flight and to explore New Delhi. The hotel is near the heart of CP and is located less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Barakhamba Metro Station which provides access to the rest of the city. If public transportation is not desirable, hotel cars and taxis are easily hired from the front reception. The included breakfast buffet is excellent with North Indian, South Indian and Western options as well as many dishes available for individual order. The in house Chinese restaurant is good and offers an Indian slant on common dishes. Hotel staff were helpful, no complaints.

Pro: nice hotel with good food in the restaurant. Their bakery is decent price and better for eating if you don't want a full meal. Pleasant staff. Internet is good but you do have to pay for it. Cons: I didn't like the surcharges when I checked out. I was told Oct had a different tax and during the last 7 days was not notified of this until checkout. Plus there is a tax of 20% on any minibar item, and a restocking fee. I had 1 coke and could of walked across the street to buy one for 25r instead of paying 125r + 25r (tax) + restocking fee. Room was not cleaned very well, wasn't swepts very well nor fixtures cleaned.
