The Iroquois Hotel New York
4 out of 5

All I can say is location, location, location. I stayed in the Iroquois during New Years and was very happy with the proximity to times square. The staff were professional with great ideas from transport tips to things to do. Our shopping spree to 5th Ave was easily dropped off, a quick shower before dinner was not an issue and we were within walking distance of all the major theatres. It was a bit pricey as we stayed from Boxing day through to the new year but I dont regret it for a second.

We did have some initial problems with our booking it was cancelled due to being delayed. Once sorted the staff were good, the room was clean and comfort. The location was only a couple of blocks from Times Square which made it easy to get around. Overall in the end was happy with our stay.

Excellent ! Doorman on arrival was very friendly and helpful. Reception staff and concierge also very good. Nothing was too much trouble.Doorman also gave us a guided tour of our room facilities! Concierge arranged dinner reservations for us in nearby restaurant and also tickets for a Broadway show. The hotel is only 2 blocks from Time Square but is quiet when inside. Breakfast was quite pricy and simple things like cereal weren't available. We found a nice place 1 block away which was excellent for breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was very nice. We had 5 nights there so we had dinner at other nearby restaurants as well. All were very good and reasonably priced for New York.

This is a lovely French style hotel with great service and hospitality. It is an excellent location, only one block from Broadway and Times Square, half a block from shopping on 5th Ave, 5 minute walk from Grand Central Station and an easy ten to fifteen minute walk to Central Park. Doesn't get much better than that in a big city.

All the people who work at the Iroquois are extremely nice, polite, dependable and accommodating. The rooms are spotless. Some hotels in New York put out a breakfast spread, which was lacking here. The bathroom was a little cramped . Other than that, no complaints. Really good value for the price!

We had a wonderful pre-Christmas 4-day trip in NY, thanks to the very pleasant stay at the Iroquois hotel. The staff, particularly Vanessa of Concierge went out of her ways to accommodate our requests even before our arrival with getting show tickets. All front desk staff were just as pleasant and great. The location was excellent, close to Times Square, 5th Ave., metro station, Grand Central Sta. etc. The room was a bit smaller than expected, but who could complain that!! The free wifi was great too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Great location and walkable to most locations in midtown, small but comfortable room, audible outside noise from inside the room (feels like you can hear the entire city). Would still come back to the Iroquois for next trip to NYC provided the room location was better! Triomphe was excellent at reasonable prices.

Great location, friendly, outgoing, responsive staff. Concierge extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Room was nice, clean, but small. It seemed like a room for one and we were two. Had to request an extra chair. We were told this was standard size for category in which we had been booked. Slow elevator service, but elevator is being replaced so should be better in the future. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Great small hotel near Times square. Welcoming and helpful staff and perfectly comfortable room. I would happily have stayed for longer and would stay again if I return to New York in the future.

Needed a place convenient to Broadway shows for an overnight. What a jewel! Small but very comfortable room with hints of luxury. Very friendly staff. Walk to Times Square is about 4 blocks; to 52nd St. was about 9 blocks. Price for queen bed was $229 (before taxes, etc.), which was about $100 less than comparable hotels in area. Approach hotel on 44th Street between 6th Ave and 5th Ave. Hotel's on left, and parking is across street on right ($40/night).

Decent location but rooms are tiny and beds take most of the space. 2 people in a standard room is almost non-liveable. Only 2 elevators for a building with 10-11 levels, pricing for the rooms was way too expensive. Good points were free wireless internet in rooms and PC with internet in lobby for free. Also nice TV and iPod dock in the room.
