This elegant property is located in Westport, which is renowned as Ireland's premiere Sea Angling destination. Moreover, a beautiful parkland golf course is situated just a mile from the The Helm Inn Westport.

Access to the accommodation was via a partly covered outside walkway which at one time whilst I was there was used to store deliveries. Accommodation in the area I was in was more suited to students. There was no tv in the room. If I wanted tea / coffee or watch tv I had to use an ajoining kitchen which was cold and unheated.The lock on the bedroom door was broken. Value for money this was the worse of the five b/b I stayed in. The only good thing was the evening dinner although for what was basically a pub was a little on the expensive side. Not a venue I would recommend.

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpfull. Food in the bar/resturant, excellant. We didnt realise we were getting an apartment. Great value for money. Will be back for sure.

It was one of the friendliest places we have stayed in Ireland. The owner and his family did everything to make sightseeing and all other tourist activities simple to do. I highly recommend this hotel.
