Loved the overall ambience but brighter lighting in guest rooms would be desirable.

I did not enjoy staying at this hotel because it was dirty, there was no parking, and some of the staff were quite rude. I would not stay there again.

Having also stayed in another hotel on the same trip and paying twice as much as the "Grand" My preference would still be the Grand for ambience and character. It was a very pleasent place to stay.

They advertised 'Sky TV' but it was only provided in a rowdy bar or dining area. The hot water ran out or stopped for some reason at 10pm and we did not discover this until we tried to have a shower in the morning. Why was it not fixed?, or why did the management not deliver a little note under the door explaining the problem. When asked for some compensation for the inconvenience, nothing was forthcoming. Won't return to that Hotel!!

I have never seen such a dirty hotel in all my life, we checked out immediatlety after checking in after we noticed a horrible smell in the room and saw the stained bed cover. There was even a notice saying we couldn't plug the TV and kettle in at the same time because it would trip the fuse - the whole building needed gutting and starting again.
