Location
Garden View YWCA Hotel is on Macdonnell Road in Hong Kong, near Peak Tram Station and Lan Kwai Fong. A city tour is not complete without exploring Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade or taking a tram ride to The Peak.

This is a decent business hotel in HK Central. First of all, I have to say that the room is big by Hong Kong standard. It's approximately 25 sqm. with bathtub. The only cons I can think of is the location. You will need to take a taxi to travel back to the hotel as bus service is not always available. Anyway, considering the price, cleanliness, and space provided, we will stay here again.

I loved that I was close to Central and yet I was in a neighborhood next to the parks. It's an easy walk to Admiralty and Central.

This is a good place to stay if you're looking for no frills and need to be located around in mid-levels. The hotel itself offers a comfortable, basic room - on the small side and with limited amenities - staff are friendly enough, efficient rather than overly welcoming. If you don't mind the walk up and down the hill then it's well located for Central but otherwise getting to and from the hotel requires either a taxi or the bus. As Hong Kong hotels are generally expensive, this represents a good alternative, but don't expect more than you pay for.

A good hotel choice. Large room for Hong-Kong and the location is convenient after you learn how to cross the Botanical garden to go to Soho and Central. Convenient little shop open 24 hours in front of the hotel and a nice western style restaurant just across the street, 8F. Never a problem to get a taxi, max wait: 2 minutes. The only thing one could reproach is the absence of cash machine in the area.

Excellent central location at a very good value, Bus stop in front of hotel and bring you to Peter St Central subway station. Avoid rush hours, subways are congested and taxi at a stand still.
