The Fairmont Southampton Resort Guest Reviews
If you do not mind a big hotel this is definitely the place for you, and even if you typically like small boutique hotels this is a very good option. There are also families in the hotel however it is easy enough to find places to get away from the kids if that is what you desire. The staff are incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly. This hotel was service, service, service as well as having great views from the rooms, one of the best diving centers on property, a great private beach, excellent snorkeling, indoor and outdoor pools, an excellent outdoor jacuzzi, some of the best restaurants on the island, and a complimentary ferry to Hamilton throughout the day. Can't say enough good things about our experience at the Fairmont Southampton.

over all very nice place to stay when you are in bermuda, pearched high on the hills, yet still walking distance to the beach, and right next to horseshoe bay, hint, private cove! i will coma back again when I am here,

I was considered it as a luxury hotel and overall I'm enjoyed my stay there. There were some minor issues. Several concierge staff were not knowledgeable or misinformed. They said that public faeries don't run on the weekend but we found out that they do. They gave us incorrect public bus schedules. Nobody told us that we get to call to the front desk to get picked up from the beach by the hotel trolley when there is no staff at the trolley staff. Complementary coffee is only available until 7 a.m. - lucky if you are a vampire))) Now the positives. High class surroundings, lobby, room, and service. The room has complementary coffee which was very nice. On certain days the hotel provides a complementary tea and cookie time with live relaxing piano music. The hotel has a free ferry to Hamilton. When selecting your transportation from and to the airport, a taxi will cost around $37, a shuttle arranged by the hotel cost $15 per person, a bus either $2 or $4, and private cars are the most expensive. There are outdoor and indoor pools, and 2 outdoor jacuzzi's.

overall experience was amazing. staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. golf was great. beaches were great. was not aware that this is off-season - so things were a little slow on the island - which probably was a good thing. weather was in the low 70's - DID NOT GET MUCH COOLER AT NIGHT - mid 60's (due to gulfstream? - warm ocean waters). food was as good as it gets. waterlot inn was the best restaurant within a hotel i have ever eaten at. the on-grounds southhampton golf course is a par 3 course - but don't be fooled - 18 quality par 3 holes - one hole was 218 yds / slightly uphill. and into a 25 mph wind, i needed driver. 3 great golf courses within a 10 minute drive of the hotel. port royal is as good as it gets - better than any other course i have played in the caribbean - including teeth of the dog. riddell's bay and belmont were immaculate - though short. only negatives - not a cheap vacation - but if money is not a problem - this is the place to go for a completely wonderful experience. will definitely go back. other negative - hamilton is NOT a charming little tropical paradise city - more like a business center than a quaint tourist sight. did not see many children - no real children parks - though beach and pool were children friendly. but no amusement parks, etc.
