Lovely heritage building. Disadvantage so many stairs to reception(15) & no lift on that level for senior guests. Good space in apt 204 no view could hear walking on flat above 2-3 am. Take earplugs supposed to have freeplugs but none available. My other dissapointment was very small tv 15" old type. very hard to see any writing.Have'nt stayed any where with such asmall screen.

A great place to stay if you're wanting to be in the middle of town. The price was very reasonable.

Very disappointed with the hotel, internet advertising and reality far apart. Expensive for what you get. Parking an extra NZ$15 pd, makes their room rates the highest in the area. [...] service: there is none; do it yourself. No help with luggage, find your own way to your room. Parking is in a small dirty service area with garbage bins and a large trash dumper. Access via a construction site, or a dirty roadway. Silly small, thankfully we only had a Corolla otherwise we would have been unable to park. Not a safe area, young guys hanging around smoking pot. Manager not willing to discuss or acknowledge the problem, pay the price, take it or leave it attitude. Not very good considering the world cup next year. The rooms are ok; noisey though, no AC, road and fan noise too high. Offering ear plugs is a bit rich. Walls paper thin. Thankfully the Tequila bar next door helped one to sleep, well worth a visit, the bar not the hotel!

Beautifully renovated character space, handy to everything. Small apartments felt larger with high stud and large opening windows. Given we booked for 3 adults in a 2brm apt there could have been more towels. Nice touches with plunger coffee and earl grey tea. All in all a pleasant stay.

I always spend Labour Weekend in Auckland and always stay at the Elliott St apartments - and they're always great!
