I just needed a place to sleep a few hours so decided to go with an inexpensive choice late at night. For the price it was good for DC. I slept about 6 hours, showered, ate a couple of rolls (continental breakfast included), drank a coffee and was off to my meeting the next morning!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent room and service, bountiful continental breakfast, great location and friendly staff! This is a great place to stay when visiting D.C. - walking distance to all attractions and definitely a great value for what you pay.

I know it was a low rate, but the room was worse than I expected. No closet. Said I had to buy the upgraded room to even get a hanger. I switched rooms which was better but still problems. Got a drinik of water and it foamed up. I threw the cup away and did not drink the water. Several towels had brown stains on them. The heater was constantly going on and off all night. Wifi did not work in my room, had to go to lobby to use it. Next time I will stay some where else.

If you have a little more money, choose their bigger rooms. If you have even more money, stay at somewhere else. I feel it is only a little better than a hostel. (Unfortunately International House of United Tel was not available at that time.) The room I had was incredible small for human beings.

I was visiting Washington, DC for the first time so for me it was really important to stay in comfortable hotel with a good location and with a "fine" price. Location: Hotel located just 2 blocks away from main part of Downtown. It is walking distance to metro and to everything. (downtown and closest areas anyway its a walking distance). Room: I was staying in a room with 1 bed. Room was small but clean. Anyway for me as a woman the more important area is a big bathroom in this hotel room. Service: Personal of this hotel was really kind and helpful. Benefits: breakfast time was the best part. 6 to 9 am you have an opportunity of really good breakfast at the lobby of this hotel. U can find everything necessary important and stay full till the evening.

The hotel was ok but not what I expected. The rooms were very small but the beds were comfortable. The only problem was that the AC unit was right behind the headboard and the water leaked from the 2nd floor ceiling into the tub which woke me up a few times.

Got to hotel at 11:45 PM. Informed, "we're undergoing renovation and we don't have a room for you" . No apology. Told I could stay at their sister hotel, the Windsor for the same price and that they would call a cab for me. I asked if I could walk there thinking it might save time and staff said sure, that he walks there to work sometimes. So I walked, which turned out to be further than I anticipated--but not an unpleasant walk. It's now well after midnight. Asked for a nice room--told--"they're all nice". Again no apology for the inconvenience. Given room on 4th floor with no elevator and no offer to help carry my luggage. Room with two small single beds which were quite uncomfortable with crinkly mattress pads. They reminded me of cots I've slept on in more Spartan conditions in foreign countries. One would think that after having been made to move to another inferior hotel in the middle of the night that at least an apology would have been in order, let alone perhaps some financial consideration. Management needs to do some work here! Buyer beware.

In all my years of travel, I have never stayed in such a small room. There is no place to hang clothes, put your underwear/socks, and no place to put you suitcase when emptied. I had about 3 feet of room next to the bed and was careful not to trip when going into the bathroom. There was no place for toiletries in the bathroom. To top it all off, I had to walk up the four flights to get to the room as there was no elevator. Also, there was no ice. It was clean--the only positive.

i should have listened to the reviews, but I went ahead anyway because it was cheap. Well I got what I paid for! Parking was non existent and it weren't for the helpful staff at the hotel next door, I would have gotte a ticket for leaving my car parked on the street. The wifi connection didn't work I the room, but it worked just fine right outside my room. I'll never stay here again, even if it's the cheaper option.

First of all, there is absolutely no where to park. I had to park my car in a parking garage that was 7 blocks away and pay $24 a day. The room was beyond small, and in my opinion the hotel was extremely over-priced for the experience you got in return.

Hotel had had a flood which damaged rooms (I found out afterward, not from them), so did not have a room for me when I showed up at 9:30 at night and the only choice they had was a motel 6 several miles away which later turned out to be unavailable. No advance notice; and "don't bother me" service. Worst experience in 20 years of travel all over the world.

A small, old, slightly the worse for wear hotel was.nevertheless rather pleasant. Located in a good neighborhood with many European guests. Our room was a little cramped, as was the dining area.

I was a little worried about what we would find considering some of the reviews I read, but I found this hotel perfect for our needs considering it was less than half of the price of hotels in the vacinity. Our room was actually quite large, but I had reserved a double. The beds were very comfortable and we had no trouble with noise. We were quite lucky because we were placed on the 1st floor so we didn't have to deal with climbing steps. The furnishings and decor were just fair, but were there only to sleep and more into spending our money on sightseeing and dining than on elaborate accommodations. It was probably about a 3/4 mile walk from the metro station but we soon found that only a block away by the 7-11 there was a metro bus we could ride to get almost anywhere for $1.70 or the Circulator bus across the street from Caribou Coffee for $1 so we felt it was very convenient because these buses come every 10 minutes. The breakfasts were crousants, muffins, breads, Belgium waffles, cereal, juices, coffee and te4a which was a handy start to each day. If you want something fairly close to museums and attractions in DC and don't want to pay a lot then I think if your not too picky about decor that you will find this hotel will meet your needs.

This place had lice!!! Dirty carpet, broken furniture and fixtures, wires with extension cords...I couldn't stay there. I had to book another hotel. The manager would not refund my first night. So it cost me $159 to merely look at a lice infested, filthy room! The website makes it look like a nice, quiet, inexpensive travel inn...the street and neighborhood was quiet and nice, but the actual hotel was a disaster!

The location was great - only six blocks from the White House as well as the Yellow Hop on Hop Off bus stopping 100metres away. However the room was very pokey - access to the double bed was from one side only as it was up against the wall with about 2 feet on the access side. The elevator was not working which meant climbing to the third level with luggage - not convenient for 70 year olds!
