We arrived and within minutes we found our room. It was a bit small but comfortable. It was a late check it and we had some trouble finding a parking space but got lucky as someone was leaving. The pools were fantastic!!! they set up a screen in front of the pool (8pm) and we watch a family movie while swimming and enjoying a drink! We will definitely book here again!

Room was a great value. It was very comfortable and the view was great. The television was an issue the entire stay. Wouldn't get HD channels, then the remote didn't work. It took them 3 hours to replace the TV, but service on the remote was very quick. The staff said they would have comped us, but they couldn't because we booked through Cheap Tickets. Eat at the Blue Pearl, not the Firefly. service, food and prices very good!

Hotel looks good but the rooms need work. They were clean and we thought it would be nice to stay there. At 3:32AM, the room next to us had a party that woke us up. We could their talking as if we were in the same room. Called front desk and they said they would send security up. Nothing happened and noise kept up all night. This hotel needs to put insulation in the walls so you don't hear the next room as clearly as we could. Never will stay here again and will not recommend the hotel to anyone. We work in San Diego and people who visit for work or play ask us where to stay. Again, one more hotel avoid.

The only problem we had with our room 2104 is we had tiny ants coming up through our sink. We asked that they spray and they did, but they were back two days later. Other than that, it was perfect. Our son stayed in 2101 and they had no problems whatsoever. Him and his girlfriend were completely satisfied with their room. We will definately go back.

From checking in to checking out we couldn't ask for a better place. The room was great with a beautiful view of the bay. Beautiful walk around bay and a good walk to Mission Beach. Sea World was in walking distance or if you would rather, there was a shuttle. The restaurant Fire Fly on the premises was fantastic, with good drinks, food and desert. We would return again and again,

The hotel is well located, with the bay steps from your hotel room, and the beach a quick 5 minute walk away. Not the best room I've had, but satisfying considering you are paying for the location.

While the location of The Dana at Mission Bay Resort is great for visiting Sea World or other nearby attractions, the hotel itself is a bit dated. The beds were very comfortable but the refrigerator made so much noise that it kept waking us up during the night. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the occupants of the room next to us had placed their room service trays/plates on the sidewalk and no one came to pick them up. The trays were still there the next morning at 10 when we checked out and were blocking half the sidewalk to our room. One surprise was the onsite restaurant. While it is basic and in need of an update, the service was excellent as was the food.

Mission Bay beauty with sailboats and other water-related activities. Lovely garden courtyard settings and lushly-landsacped grounds. But rooms and baths were small and lacked space to move around. $14 daily charge for parking was waived, but why charge it at all? Driving is the only way to get to the hotel.

The room was very clean and I loved that there was a microwave and fridge in my room (since I have an infant with me, these items were priceless!). The bathroom was very basic (toilet and a tub - but who needs anything extra) and very clean. The sink area was right when you walk in the room and the fridge and microwave are adjacent to it. I was able to wash bottles, etc. right there and use the microwave with my sterilizer pouch conveniently. My room was located not far from the pool and The Blue Pearl. It's a very lush, tropical setting and I enjoyed it a lot. We did not pay for parking (it's $18/day). Instead, we opted to part at the empty lot next to the restaurant and just walk a little further to get to our room. If you pay for parking, your spot is right in front of your room. The lobby is beautiful and very inviting. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I feel for the money, it was such an amazing value.

Great experience at The Dana. Came here for an onsite wedding. Great location, decent price. The only thing we didn't like is the $18 per day parking.

Would have liked to have more options for eating other than the Blue Pearl and Fire Fly. Atmosphere in the Blue Pearl wasn't great. Also, when requesting a pool view room, I didn't think we'd be on the 2nd floor looking out our back window to view the pool. With kids and a stroller, it was not desireable. Otherwise, the resort was fun and we'd go back, but would specify a pool SIDE room! We loved the bar at the pool.

Tropical setting, away from "city". Nighttime movies at poolside great for families. Vending machines good for snacks. The 2 restaurants were average. Ground floor older units had lovely patios. Wouldn't want to stay on second floor.
