The Clay Hotel Miami Beach2 Stars
1438 Washington Avenue Miami FL 33139
The Clay Hotel is in traffic-free Espanola Way, a charming enclave of South American style restaurants and hotels tucked away from the main thoroughfare. It is just two blocks from the oceanfront, the Art Deco hotels on Ocean Drive and the lovely Lummus Park.
Rooms range from single, double and family size to VIP and all have air conditioning, refrigerators and satellite TV.
There is no restaurant on-site at the Clay Hotel but there are a choice of cafes and eateries right outside the hotel.
The Clay Hotel Miami Beach offers tropical outdoor courtyard areas, fully equipped kitchens and washer-dryers to make longer stays very comfortable. There is a 24-hour front desk, housekeeping services and wake-up calls. The multilingual staff can make reservations for trips to the Everglades National Park, or offer directions to the Seaquarium and Parrot Jungle Island nearby.

We reserved 4 nights in this hotel. They upgrade the small room I reserved to a large room with good window view and extra home appliances without any charge. The room is super clean and comfortable. The staff are really nice! Highly recommend!

Nice Hotel but pretty basic. Liked the location

Location is great as it is a few blocks from Ocean Drive and a few blocks from Promenade. The Clay Hotel has free wireless, although a bit slow, and it works well. Most of staff behind counter were nice and helpful. It would be great if they clean the rooms just a bit better, but in the end, it is a good stay.

Some staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful, but there were others who let the team down, and their service was below average - at times it was as if they were doing you a favour by providing expected service. It almost seemed like some staff thought they were only running a hostel, and not also a 3* hotel. On the whole though, a great hotel with spectacular location.
