The Clarendon Hotel Phoenix Guest Reviews
The Clarendon was a nice, clean, casual boutique hotel. We went to visit our friend and his wife who were having a baby shower. He's a Phoenix local and had recommended the Clarendon to us. Gallo Blanco, the restaurant in the hotel, is absolutely delicious. Their michelada drink and the chopped salad in particular were spectacular. I was also surprised at how quiet the hotel was. I assumed with an outdoor pool and a roof bar that it would be rather loud. But the rooms were well insulated and noise was not an issue. The only noise issue I had was with the bathroom light! The fan and the light switch are connected so if you have to use the facilities in the middle of the night and are with someone, you might wake them if you turn on the bathroom light before closing the door. All in all it was a good stay. The bathroom light/fan issue and the checkout time (11 AM -- which is early for me -- I wanted to go have brunch with my friends and then checkout, but they couldn't give us a later check out than 11:30. Therefore we had to pack up before we left to eat.) were the only things I didn't like. But they weren't anything major and certainly wouldn't keep us from staying there again. There are also great deals on the Clarendon if you keep your eyes open!

The hotel looks great in photos but definitely outdated. Had to change my room 3 times. Wrong room quote, No AC and a leaky roof. Not to mention poor management and very noisy. Not good for business, no business center. Stay somewhere else and visit the restaurant Gallo Blanco. They have good food but drinks are medicore...

This boutique Hotel is insanely fabulous-seriously hip--incredibly spotless--phenomenomely deliciuos and totally current. From the moment you pull up you realize you are in a non commercial/corporate box. The owner who was on property spared no expense when desogning this amazing place. Pool area is so jazzed out and relaxing, food #1 place to eat and the room was like staying @ your coolest friends pad in LA tastefully done without trying too hard. I LOVE this place. Kudos to Ben the visionary extroidinaire xx Judyann from LV

I enjoyed the hotel. Just a small advice - do not forget to take with you a swimming trunks - hotel swimming is very nice. About some flaws - it is located in 3 mile away from downtown - but the central avenue by which one can get from hotel to downtown is very nice - so maybe the location is even an advantage since it makes you see places. Wi-Fi is free it is good but breakfast is not included -so the real room’s price is $10 more.
