close to no 2 metro line only 7yuan from the airport I find it a great way to gett to and from the airport .streets nearby are very local and there is some great street food only a short walk to the Bund Pretty good views from all of the rooms i liked it because it had a very local flavour if you feel uncomfortable being with the locals then this might not be for you But the locals are wonderful, the area is very safe, and it is only a couple of blocks from the tourist areas staff are very helpful even if their english is a it limited at times. but then my chinese was non existent,.

The room is rather spacious but air-con is not working. Location is very near to food and shopping. Service is average.

Room booked not to our expectation for a grand view. Room was hot & stuffy making our stay not very pleasant. Did not bother to extend our further stay in Shanghai at this hotel.

Great location, clean and very helpful staff. Need to give deposit for extra room key - as only had one provided for a twin room. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to family / friends

The following areas could be improved: * front desk personnel to speak more English. Staff have limited knowledge of the English language. * front desk personnel should be more knowledgeable about Shanghai, i.e. places of interests, good restaurants, etc. Currently, most are not able to recommend * a little more pro-active in giving a hand with luggages. However, when asked, they are quite good. * did not keep any information on guests. Went back a week later, my family and my information were deleted. * requested booking of taxi on 27 April, but stuff forgets and have to rebook * booked minivan to airport which costs 250RMB. Driver is very friendly, but van is untidy. Here are the plus points: * rooms are spacious * front desk staff are flexible with arrangements of rooms * allowed late check-out * good lunch at the Chinese restaurant with 50% discount All in all, it was a good stay. p/s: we tipped them quite handsomely

Every hotel staff can't speak English at all. I'm strictly advise that hotel manager must put off their 'International'.

Next to quieter part of the HuangPu River but very convenient as it was just a short walk away to Nanjing Road. Nice view of the Peral Tower from our room. Concierge staff were very helpful.

Had booked in advance of more than 7 days, but rooms allocated were not as per our request, such as requested one double bed room but given 2 single bed room and 2 rooms in adjacent due to children but given 2 rooms at distance of 4 to 5 rooms apart

Very good value for money. Walking distance from Nanjing Road. Rooms smallish, but at the price, no complaints at all.

you get what you pay for i guess, they tried to put me in a smoking room and so i had to be changed, had to get someone up to get the internet working, then again to get the tv working, carpet was stained, saw one cockroach, hard to get the receptionist's attention even when there's no other customers around. price and location are good.

I booked a deluxe city view with minimum 3 nights stay and requested a room in upper floors ( above 9 th floor ) and was assigned room 911. The window is medium size facing a high rise building just 50 meters away, so the city view is very limited and I had to close the window curtain most of the time to avoid the view from opposite side !

we had our 3 nights stayed at this hotel and found below:- 1) Location: 10-15mins from famous Nanjing Road. Nothing much around the hotel, hardly find restaurant nearby. 2) Everywhere is under construction, so u can hear the noise every early morning and very dusty once u step out from the hotel. 3) Service: one of the staff, phillip had been very helpful and he will do all sort of arrangement for you whenever u request for, such as transport booking. other than him, only few are polite and friendly.. hotel rooms are spacious but a bit uncleaned. well, if compared to the price charged, it's still worth to stay at this hotel.. :)

good for business trip, not so far from Nanjing road, just 2 blocks away or 10 min walk, I was unlucky that during my stay 9-11 Dec2008, they were improove the short cut road from Beojing road to Nanjing road and there a lot of dust, but on the morning of 12 Dec,the day I left, the improov were finish and there were very clean road to walk along and I just found that this Beijing road were the center of Hardware shop and also I walk backword across the bridge near hotel and found Qi Pu Lu, the wholesale market (also sell pice by pice), the distance were same as walk to Nanjing

I had read some mixed reviews about this hotel and arrived with some anxiety. However, the hotel was clean and service delivery was polite and always helpful. The view from the room was breathtaking (towards Pudong.) The surrounding area is undergoing reconstruction, but this did not dampen our stay. Felt secure and comfortable. Walking distance to the Bund and Shanghai Museum . Taxis are cheap and hotel staff will provide good advice regarding method of travel. Glad we stayed here and would recommend to others - exellent because of the price.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired it is in a commercial area, that was dark & seedy at night, never in my life have I seen carpets so dirty from the lobby areas to the room it self you had to pay extra for everything right down to the coffee making facility. do not go to the beauty salon in the building as they charge nearly 200% on what other salons outside charge. I would not recommend this hotel

Great choice if you want a top class hotel room at a smaller price - the minus is the location, which seems to be in the middle of a workshop area. but Ningbo street a block down is a great market street for people watching and having meals with locals, if a little dirty. The service here is top class.
