THE HOTEL WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. WALKING DISTANCE FROM CONVENTION CENTER. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN!!!

I stayed at the Best Western on 1st. street in Long beach, ca..I loved the help and friendliness of the staff as i arrived and checked in. The room was nice, spacious and had a great variety of toiletries. The hotel complimentary was excellent along with the friendly helpful staff at the dinning area. The location was great and convenient to many restaurants and shops.

I pre-paid for my hotel 2 days before arriving at the hotel. When I arrived, the hotel said they did not have my reservation and their entire hotel was sold out for the weekend! The hotel kept telling me that reservations booked through a 3rd party are not guaranteed (even though I had already paid for the room). After almost an HOUR of talking with the front desk I was given a handy cap room with one small bed for 3 people to share. 1st no rooms available, then an hour to check in, then only one small bed when I paid for 2 beds... overall, a horrible experience

I was skeptical about this hotel since I was able to book a room at the last minute while attending an event at the Long Beach convention Center (which is only a few blocks away). I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find modern hotel in a quaint neighborhood location. My room was very clean, comfortable and contemporary. The bedding were first class. Nice work out facility. There are great shops, food and two wine shops all within a few blocks, plus there is free busing to get around to see the sites along pier/pike and Ocean Drive. I'll be back!

I was helped by the manager (Anna) at the front desk. She could not have been friendlier or more courteous. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. I also appreciate that this is a 100% SMOKE FREE hotel, so no disgusting odors lingering around the rooms. There are really no great views from this hotel, but its Long Beach, so there's not much to see anyway! All in all I would Highly Recommend this hotel for the price. I have stayed in rooms for DOUBLE the price, for similar accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.
