Getting There and Around
Visitors will fly into Bangkok Airport and from there you can rent a car and drive to Trat. Thailand has an excellent train system that goes to nearly all destinations. You might also choose to take a bus; there are both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses available.
Once in Trat you can drive yourself if you have a car or you can choose public transportation. Small three-wheeled taxis called Sam-lor are abundant and relatively inexpensive. There are ferries to the island that run all day.
