Songkhla Climate
Songkhla’s climate is subtropical, so the temperature remains constant most of the year, with an average of about 27°C. This part of the world is monsoonal, and the rainy season lasts from October to January. The best time to visit is during the drier months from February to September.
Getting There & Getting Around
Hat Yai International Airport is located just 12km from the Songkhla city centre and services numerous flights daily from major cities in Thailand and Malaysia. Hotel shuttles and taxis are readily available for the ride into town.
There is a major train line running through Hat Yai with connections to Singapore via Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Kota Baru. Local bus services run between Hat Yai and Songkhla, but you can also flag down an air-conditioned van or a tuk-tuk to get you where you want to go.
