Koh Samui Climate

Koh Samui falls under the tropical monsoon climate category. The island is ideal to visit at almost any time of the year, because it is generally warm and relatively dry compared to other areas in southern Thailand. The heaviest rainfall usually occurs in October and November. The other months typically experience short rain showers. The coldest months are December through February at 30°C.

Getting There & Around

The Samui Airport facilitates daily flights to and from Bangkok and major Southeast Asian countries like Singapore and Hong Kong. Visitors can also take passenger or car ferries to transport them from the mainland.

Songthaews or tuk-tuk-style buses and private taxis are always available for hire to explore the interesting spots in Koh Samui. Renting a vehicle like cars, motorbikes or scooters to go around the island is also common.
