The performance arts complex hosts a wide variety of concerts, events and festivals throughout the year and is a linchpin of Bangkok’s diverse arts and culture scene. All told, the premier point of interest in the metropolis of 12 million people includes two auditoriums and a big outdoor amphitheatre. Built in 1987, the Thailand Cultural Centre is in the Huai Khwang district of Bangkok, close to popular landmarks like Royal City Avenue, Ratchada Grand Theatre, Esplanade Cineplex, Carrefour hypermarket and Siam Naramit cultural park. Additional features of Thailand Cultural Centre include a library, permanent exhibition on Thai cultural and a Japanese pavilion.

The Thailand Cultural Centre is about a 20-minute walk from the Bangkok Metro station of the same name.
Built to commemorate the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the performance arts complex was the host of the 2009 International Festival of Dance and Music.
