The park is part botanical garden and part recreation facility. Visitors can take a stroll in the park and admire exhibits on King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), or simply enjoy a picnic on the shores of Traphang Kaew Lake. At almost 81 hectares, the park is a wonderful sanctuary in the city and lures innumerable daily visitors. The park contains several pavilions, a traditional Chinese garden, restaurants and refreshment concessions. Bangkok’s annual Flower Festival takes place in Suan Luang Rama IX, in addition to many other annual events throughout the year.
