We chose the Terass hotel for our 6 night stay in Paris for our honeymoon, for many reasons. The beautiful terrace view, the free WiFi, the continental breakfast and the air conditioning. The problem was none of those things were available to us. The Terrace was closed for "winter" the WiFi server was down for service the Continental breakfast wasn't free, and the whole 6th floor was out of A/C. We arrived in the rain and were never offered any assistance with our bags to our room. We were forced to sleep with the windows open and suffered from numerous mosquito bites. When presented to the manager on duty he laughed in our face and said there is nothing he can do. Our bath tub was mold ridden and shower head full of calcium deposits. Again when presented to the management they shrugged their shoulders and said they will try to take care of it but its a natural thing so there isn't much they can do. The pillow cases were stained and the carpets were dirty. The carpets looked they haven't been vacuumed in weeks. There were long human hairs all over the carpet and bed comforter. The room only smelled clean due to a spray deodorizer they used. I didn't expect this or this type of service from such highly rated hotel. We tried to find other hotels while we were there but all were booked in the area and the Terass would not refund us any of our money or give us any type of discount.

Hotel Terass is a great location from which to explore Paris, particularly if you like Montmarte! About 10min walk from closest metro stop. Great views of the city (and the cemetary) if you're willing to pay a little extra. The rooms are quite small, but I believe that's to be expected for Paris. We had hoped to avail of the terrace bar during our stay, but unfortunately it was closed for the whole weekend. Also, rookie mistake I know, but make sure breakfast is included in your booking if that's what you want!

We had to move every night to a different room due to major flooding from burst pipe ( the major floods came down on top of me when I was in the bathroom, through the light fixtures above the sinks, so it was a real electrical safety hazard.); other room's lights not functioning, TV not working, sofa beds that didn't convert properly to bed when that was a prime req't.that I had written to them in email beforehand; and the French doors not able to close properly which resulted in sudden torrents of wind knocking the doors open every few minutes whilst sending everything flying inside the room. Leaking pipes left bathrobes & my items in bathroom all wet. I had to then walk around Paris in wet socks on a rainy day, giving me a bad cold. Although we had to move to different rooms each day, which caused long delays & disruption to our Paris visits & tours, the Hotel Mg't. did not agree to refund any of our pre-paid room payments ...although their rooms were very expensive to start with ( but they didn't charge for one glass of wine at the bar, nor a £30 room supplement to view the Eiffel Tower which was in a rainy cloud all of the weekend anyway....so that wasn't a big help!). Their main floor restaurant was closed for the whole New Year weekend, which was a real shame, and they didn't have a pianist for their piano bar either. Thus, we had to go outside in wet socks to eat & drink on NY weekend. We had booked this hotel for its views from itsTerrace Cafe on the 7th floor, but that was closed for the New Year The Terass Mgr, offered to upgrade us on a future visit as compensation, but that is not a viable offer to us! We will not be returning there again for a visit!! Thus, we would now appreciate receiving a proper, substantial, refund from your Agency which booked us into this hotel. Kindly explain the procedure to us by return email immediately, before we contact VISA

Very nice comfortable friendly hotel with some stylishly decorated rooms. Other rooms that have not been refurbished are not so comfortable. Only complaint I have ever had to make was because my room door was left slightly open by the maid after it was cleaned. Luckily nothing was taken, but this should not have happened.
