The hotel is okey if you plan to be out most of the time. It needs a bit more care in cleaning. The staff are amazing. Doesn't have anything near by but transport is cheap so it doesn't really matter but if you have kids it might be an issue.

The hotel was great. It is not downtown but rather on the way to Ankor Wat. Which is nice because it is an easy trip to get to the ruins as well as downtown. The staff was great and the room was everything we hoped for. We found this hotel to be the best value of our two and half week trip around Southeast Asia. The breakfast had very good selection and was tasty. We ended up setting up a car with the hotel to see the ruins (because we were time crunched we went with a car rather than other ways of seeing the ruins). Even though the price was a little more than the going rate the drive was great and very helpful. He even opened the door for me every time we arrived somewhere so in the end it was worth the extra couple of dollars. ***note the nickname is from a pervious experience

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. Prices were reasonable and the pool was a welcome sight after exploring the area for the day. Breakfast buffet was substantial and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in the hotel from 9 - 12 Sept 2010. It is close to Angkor Wat but I hired a tour guide and driver for my 3 day visit. There are many other places to visit other than Angkor Wat which are some distance away. There are many three wheelers to take you to see the sites. Most of the hotel staff could speak English. The morning breakfast was reasonably good and the service excellent. Room was bigger than I expected and clean. I tried the spa. The price was reasonable by hotel standard and the service extermely good.

I was very happy with my stay in Tara Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap recently. The hotel staff are all very courteous. Breakfast wide spread & the food provided was delicious. Not far from Angkor Wat. The most important it is safe. Thank you Staff of Tara Angkor Hotel.

We spent 5 nights at Tara Angkor in August and loved it. All staff without fail were extremely friendly and helpful. My husband and I had a Deluxe room and our son and his friend had a standard room. Both were clean and great value for money. We usually stay at Le Meridien which is just down the road but it was too expensive for our son. Tara Angkor was a lot less per night but the rooms were not a lot different and the price included breakfast,30 minute foot massage and airport transfers. Highly recommended.

The hotel has provided excellent service my wife and I haven't ever expected. Free pick up car from airport. What we needed to do while checking in in reception was to provide reservation letter and passports then sitting in sofa to wait with free fruit juicy and cold towel. We were surprisedly informed that half hours foot massage would be provided free of charge and the massage was excellent. We had stayed in Tara Angkor Hotel Siem Reap for 3 nights and we couldn't help going to the wonderful and professional but with very reasonable price SPA every night. Fantastic staying there with great service. The hotel has even made special arrangment for us to watch the final of football world cup till 5:00 am. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed with so great price.

Modernist designed, emphasizing clean and neat lines with lots of Cambodian art weaved in. Service staff is always prompt and courteous, extremely welcoming, a delight to stay there. Breakfast spread is generous and of high quality. Located well in between the Angkor Temples and Siem Reap main central area, making traveling both ways a breeze. Will not think twice about staying there again, especially with the great value for money 3 nights special rates.

We stayed at the Tara for 3 nights in February and couldn't fault our experience - excellent location for seeing the temples, great facilities and very helpful staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel and if we have the chance to visit Siem Reap again (fingers crossed!) we'll stay here without hesitation!

The stay at this hotel is overall very satisfactory and well-worth for the price I paid. It feels like a 4-star hotel that it claims to be, and I am impressed with the service standard of the staff. The room is clean and spacious, but the TV could be a little bigger (in terms of screen-size). The breakfast spread is good and overall, tasty. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the dinner. While the menu prices befits its 4-star status, the quality of the food certainly does not. I suggest seeking venturing out to the town for cheaper and better meal options.

Very mod styling but while everything looks attractive it is not always very functional. Staff were attentive and happy to accommodate any request. Breakfast was substantial and served in the ground floor lobby area. Excellent roof top terrace with a bar and good view over the river.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It wasn't the most luxurious we have experienced but it was very comfortable and not too big a hotel. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean.
