We had a fantastic family holiday, a must place to visit for all family's. We played tennis, table tennis, rode quad bikes, sand surfed down the amazing sand hills in the sand desert, fed wild dolphins...I am so glad we went.

The resort has plenty of activities for everything under the sun but they come with steep prices though! Unfortunately, the weather was not in our favour during our recent stay at the resort. If you are there for a 1-2 day stay, check the weather forecast ahead before you made your booking.

A nice relaxing Resort. Main building, including reception, starting to look a little tired and worn......could do with a face-lift to brighten it up.

Lots of the popular activities were sold out before we even got there, but the ecorangers were very friendly and provided great insights about the natural surroundings and animals. Kids loved this place.

Loved Tangalooma despite the rain. Would have preferred to be on a higher floor (hotel accommodation. First floor - could not see the water. Second floor would have been OK.

Moreton Island is a magical place but we were very disappointed with the general state of the hotel and eating facilities. We didn't enjoy the way you are greeted and then shepherded through the facilities like a bunch of new recruits in front of the existing guests. The restaurants are very disappointing. The dishes are not cleaned properly and every dish required an additional wipe with a serviette to try and clean old remnants of food or drink. The restaurants are below average in many respects and although the "steak house" has the best venue on the island it offers the odd combination of soup, salad and pudding for $24.00. To "upgrade" to steak or chicken you pay an additional $12.00. There is a tangible lack of supervision in the restaurants with a complete lack of concern by the staff manning the restaurants. They should consider outsourcing the restaurants to raise the standards. Overall we did enjoy the island, especially the wild dolphin viewing and feeding. Thank you

Tangalooma resort was very enjoyable, apart from the rainy weather, which I was informed was unusual for the time of year. I would recommend the resort to everyone and if I return I would go on the organised tours (weather permitting). I would have liked to stay a while longer.

Having been to [other hotel], I was disappointed with what I found at Tangalooma. Short of the paying activities, the free activities are definitely nothing to shout about. Given that it is positioning itself as a resort, there should have been more coaching and stewardship at the activities like archery, golf, badminton. Why assume visitors know the rules? Surely there can be timings for visitors to sign up to get some pointers?

We booked 2 nites albeit under different reservations for the same type of room ( Kookaburra) ....and were told to check out by 10am from one and recheck in @ 2pm!. A unnecessary hassle. So, beware that Tangalooma is inflexible with this and assigns the rooms upfront. They did, however, get the room on the second day ready by 11am....For the Desert Safari. Enjoyed it tremendously. I believe we could have had more done on the sand tobaganning if we did not have to wait in queue after the first run. And we had the whole cliff available to us!! The free activities were a disappointment. The badminton net was not set right and was located in an open windy area, the archery location was not monitored and there were no coaches. Ditto for the crochet. . Also golfing/putting was been practiced near where my son was trying to do archery...an accident waiting to happen. Take a leaf from [other hotel]....

Facilities at the resort were good, not much night life if that is your scene. Food & Drinks are expensive, would recommend u get a room with kitchen or unit and byo food and drinks. Overall services were excellent, good place to relax for a couple of days.

Many of the free for guest facilities are fairly old / dated, and should be renewed or upgraded. i.e. swimming pool, table tennis , volleyball, basketball ground. Also the most of the indoor dining area & the reception seems a bit old and dated as well. Would strongly recommend an upgrade on this. However, the service still remains good as 15 years ago.

The only thing that makes this place loook bad is the steakhouse restaurant; lousy service and poor atmosphere. The food though is fantastic!

Very disappointing facilities, poor expensive food, poor public areas, no where comfortable to sit down and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. we where really disappointed with this resort, the website is million times better than the real thing. The facilities are very old and cater for the lowest common denominator. There where a lot of very unhappy people staying at the resort.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed all the activities that the resort holds for their guests, espacially the quad bikes and dolphin feeding. We just thought that the drinks ,food and photo's were a little over priced . But over all it was great and would love to go back again
