It was very comfortable. My kids thought it was fantastic, but usually camp!!! The $2 continental breakfast is a bargain. Very pleased.

When I booked I had not realized this was a youth hostel. I wanted to be close to a good surf beach and I was. The beach is over the road. There is also a good secure carpark free on the premises. My room contained a bunk with double bed below and a single above. The mes showers were down the hallway. They were clean and adequate. The kitchen was communal and quite a social centre. The hallways are noisy at night due to the many young backpackers. I slept well but when I went out at 6 am to check the surf, I found that a belligerent guest had kicked in the glass surround of the hotel front door. Despite the above I liked the place. The young guys who were the night staff were frankly the bestI have ever encountered. They answered all my questions and gave me a full tour. I did sleep well, the surf was just over the road, the bed and bathroom were clean. If you want a surfing holiday and you are happy to be around noisy and mostly well behaved young people, give it a try!

This is a youth hostel extraordinaire! The manager was fabulous. They had good internet facilities and we were able to use our wireless. Surfboards were avalaible at no charge. We were travelling with our daughter and were very safe and there were other families at the hostel. We loved it so much we stayed a week longer than originally planned.
