Solothurn Climate
Summers are warm and wet in Solothurn with highs of 21-23°C and 10-12 cm of rain per month from June through August. Winter lows are -2 to -4°C from December through February, and precipitation is around 6-8 cm. September and October are excellent months to visit as they are cool, dry and very beautiful.
Getting There & Around
Swiss Federal Rail, known as one of the most efficient rail services on the globe, serves Solothurn as well as Berne, Geneva and Zurich. You can travel by boat from Biel/Bienne as well. The nearest airports are in Berne and Basel, which are 34 and 42 km away, respectively.
All of the town's sites are within walking distance from the central rail station.
