I have been staying at Swissotel The Stamford Singapore on business trips over a 9 year period. The staff have always been uniformly polite and very helpful, and on my most recent stay I was upgraded to an Executive Package which was a pleasure. The hotel is very well located in terms of shopping and transport, and provides a tranquil haven from the city's exciting pace.

The view was fantastic (provided you book the habor view room), but the hotel is really old...or at least the tower we are in is - I don't think this tower is part of the major revamp some years back...
