Swiss Village Lodge Banff Guest Reviews
basic rooms which are clean, run by friendly staff and is situated with a short walk to banff's town center which offers lots of shopping and eating choices. The local ski bus picks up from the hotel which is great for those that don't have a car...

Very good service, excellent restaurants. Rooms clean, tidy and well maintained.

Our suite was quite run down in comparison with some of the other lodgings we have stay in while in Banff and Calgary. The carperts and lineoleum were worn and stained. Dusting and general cleaning appeared very superficial (ie change bedding, towels and empty garbage. Beds were reasonably comfortable, however the mattress pads kept slipping around and partly falling off making for an aggravating sleep. To us the Swiss Lodge seemed more like hostel type accomodation and therefore would not recommended it for a family looking to relax and unwind. However, this may be a great place to crash after a long day of skiing and/or hard night of partying in Banff.
