Lulea Climate
Lulea's climate is subarctic, which brings mild summers and snowy, cold winters. The highest temperatures from June through August reach 17-19°C, whilst winter lows drop to -16 to -13°C in January and February. Annual precipitation is only 50 cm, and it is consistent year round.
Getting There & Around
Lulea Airport is only 5 km from the city's centre, and it offers regular short flights to and from Stockholm. Alternatively, you can take an overnight train on the Norra Stambanan-rail. Whilst trains are good travelling options from southern areas, you will find buses more practical from the north and along the coast.
Lulea has an efficient and economical public bus system for vicinity travel. You can save time and money by using a three-day tourist pass.
