The city of 100,000 people was a veritable blip on the map before the arrival of aerospace giant Saab AB in 1937. Today however, Linkoping is a lively hub with a dynamic arts and culture scene and easy connections to Stockholm, Malmo and on the other side of the Oresund Strait, Copenhagen, Denmark. Superb points of interest in Linkoping include the grand city cathedral, a remarkable Gothic monument built in the early 13^th century.
