The staff on duty were extremely helpful during my stay. Courteous and kind, especially since I was travelling with a 9 year old. Tremendous thanks to them for trying to believe that Michael Campbell was as good as Colin Montgommery!!!!

The staff were friendly and perceptive, observing the needs of their guests and offering assistance, before it was sought in some cases.

The downside - We arrived late in the evening to a room with no toilet paper which was not replaced until we asked a second time, this time to the night porter. The corridor leading to our room had untidy linen cupboards left wide open with paper lying on the floor. The upside - very good value and facilities eg trouser press, iron, hairdryer

When I checked in Saturday night, I found that the hotel was short staffed with a birthday party being booked and I was unable to check in right away after a rainy walk from the train station. Checking out was much better as I was wonderful helped with train connections to the Edinburgh Airport. Otherwise, everything else was very good. Thank you for asking for my comments.
