Easy to book and find. Staff very happy and helpful, room comfy and although a bit basic by todays standards, nothing negative to note. Also very easy to get to city centre and attractions.

Perfect central location close to many bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to any young couples and groups of friends wanting a weekend getaway.

Quirky little hotel with the entrance hidden up some steps to the rear of the building. Very nice rooms for the price and recently refurbished to a good standard but could do with sound proofing as you can quite clearly hear people coming from the local clubs in the area very late at night. Great location for the town centre and river / Gateshead.

The position of the hotel was not quite where shown on the map and being further down a steep bank did not suit me however, the hotel in general was quite good value. Pity the lift was not always available as the resdents would sometimes not close the manual doors ( not an automatic lift). I felt that more notices should be located to tell them to close the doors everytime. The actions of course are not the fault of the hotel staff.

On arriving at the hotel we were a little taken aback as the hotel entrance was not actually on the main street but rather at the back end of the hotel. The reception area was quite small and the corridors could do with a bit of a refurb but our room was just recently refurbished and was beautiful. It was very clean and there were tea, coffee and biscuits along with a complimentary bottle of wine. The bathroom was also newly fitted and was modern. The room was cleaned daily and tea, coffee and biscuits replenished. The hotel staff were very helpful and answered any questions we asked as best they could. The residents bar was open 24 hrs which was also a bonus. As we had to check out at 11am and our flight was not until later that night the hotel receptionist was happy to store our bags for us that day which we then picked up before we headed to the airport. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and I would definately stay there again for the appropriate price of £99.00 for the twin room for two nights.
