Super 8 Motel Anchorage Guest Reviews
I checked in mid September, there were bed bugs in the bed. Since I am a resident of Alaska, I've never seen these bugs, but you can be sure I got out of there once I saw them (FYI, since I booked from Orbitz, I did have pay the full reservation price even when I checked out). Normally Super 8 is my go to hotel for Anchorage since they're affordable and the staff there is friendly and always remember me, but I'm afraid that the bugs have canceled that relationship. Please remember to always turn down every blanket on the bed before sleeping the night, it is now October and I still have some bites (which are horrifying and distressing).

Quite satisfied. Courteous an helpful receptionist. Breakfast not exciting, but good. Location ok for coming into town, not so convenient for going out.

Hotel stay was just overnight. Hotel staff was very helpful and answered any questions I had. I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff. Little pricey because of tourist season.

This hotel is obviously a "Budget" hotel, and in that category it delivers well. The rooms were large, the beds were good, the room and linen were clean. The furniture was a bit old and battered, but still in good order. The free airport shuttle was fabulous as well - the bus driver was very friendly and informative. On the negatives - the Location was not the best. I didnt feel threatned, but it wasnt the best of neighborhoods. And there was very little in walking distance, though if you had a car (we didnt), it was only a short drive into downtown Anchorage. Overall, if you are looking for a "Budget" hotel in Anchorage, this one is pretty good, though if you dont have a car, I would recommend finding a hotel a bit more central.
