Was unable to control the AC in the room. Was on full blast and easily kept the room below 15C consistently. Calls to front desk to resolve led to no fix.

An old hotel but very good location next to Ikea, shopping mall, starbucks and cafes. Pleasant staff. I didn't have breakfast there as it's easy to just eat out. Hotel in room internet is with lan and requires set up. No wifi. More than an hour from airport - by taxi about NT1200 but I understand there is convenient bus service as well.

The first room that I was checked into was smelt dank and was badly worn, as was the second. Finally I was upgraded to a better room, although it did not have any heating and was quite unpleasantly cold. This hotel seems to have passed its hayday and is somewhat run down. I have got far better quality and value for money elsewhere. On the other hand it is located on a beautiful treelined road nearby the domestic airport so could be ok for those taking domestic flights and Ikea (where you can get a featherdown doona, you might need it if the heating system is not working in your room) and Outback Steakhouse are located next door.
