I stay there for 1 night on jan/2012 and trust me you dont want to be there more than that. At the check in they told us that our rooms were Non Smoking rooms like we previously booked it, but when we enter to the rooms especially mine the odor was heavy. When I got back to the front desk to request a change of room they told me that the hotel was Overbooked!!! and they were no more rooms left!!! They offer me an air purifier but I had to stay out of the room for an hour at 11o'clock in the night and I had to get up at 4am for my flight. When I asked the guy that left our luggage if the 4th floor was non smoking he said NO (A non smoking room in a smoking floor doesnt make sense, Right?) To resume I slept with one of my coats in my face all night. Trust me I would rather pay a little more to be on the Strip for an odorless and cleaner room!!!!

Our room (1109) was deemed non-smoking, but I could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway and through the air vents. My allergies were really protesting the exposure.

Excellent staff and if you ask nicely they might just upgrade you to a mini-suite!

I like staying at the Sunset Station. The hotel tower is seperate from the casino and you can access the hotel elevators directly from the parking lot. The hotel cafe is great for breakfast - good food and affordable. Sunset Station is a very nice hotel, easy to get to from the freeway and off of the strip so is very quiet. I would recommend it to anyone with family and/or pets.

Sunset Station provided the non congestion of the Strip. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Sports book and poker room were great. Had a variety of restaurants to choose from. Easy access to highways, shopping malls. No lines for check in. Parking right outside of entrance to hotel. Secure elevators and did not have to wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator coming or going. Clean rooms and casino area. Would definitely stay again.

While the room was not bad, there were virtually no TV channels, AC was ineffective, and the smell of smoke was so thick in the halls as to waft into the room (non-smoking). Obviously, they want to move the guests to the casino and restaurants. Makes sense if there to gamble. IF not, avoid this site. They advertise a very low room rate, but slip in an $18/day "tax" which jacks the room price and is not included in the Orbitz payment. Tacked on when you leave. That sucked.

Orbitz advertizes that their package fess are 'all inclusive'. That was not the case in this hotel. There was $16.00 a day 'amenities fee' at check-in. We would not have chosen this package if we had known. The hotel check-in entrance is not marked on the outside of the building. The elevators to rooms have loud music in all the lobbies & inconvenient.. There are stairs outside to traverse to the elevators.

I visit Vegas 3 - 4 times a year normally stay on the strip or in the old part of vagas but decide to give this casino a shot. Hotel rooms were roomy and super clean, I sleep like a baby on the bed. I actually witness people winning money on the slots including my wife who seldoms ever wins anything. Great prices on foods one off the well stocked buffets I've ever attended in vegas. Casino was located between Vegas and the Hover Dam so I was able to mix up my entertainment. I give this motel 5 stars. Great place to stay!

This property is awesome, from start to finish. The restauarants are very, very good. Guadalajara and Sonoma Cellar serve very good meals at off-strip prices, and the Feast buffet is very, verry good. The rooms are huge and very clean and updated. Overall, I have no complaints about this property. The cocktail waitresses are beautiful and the employees are there to help. I will be a return customer at Sunset Station!!

If you wanna visit Vegas, yet stay away from the strip and all the cheesy tourists, for an excellent value, strongly consider Sunset Station. If the newest, flashiest strip based hotel is what you're dead set on. Read no further. This is a local's joint. Now keep in mind, I'm a former resident of Henderson of 7 years, and lived 2 miles down the road from S.S. I've logged in many hours on the property whether it be gaming, or enjoying the libations, or whatnot, yet never stayed in one of the rooms. For my recent Vegas trip, it was important for me to reconnect with my Henderson crowd, keep the strip at arms length, yet still close enough to drive to it if the urge arises.... The room itself is of decent size. Was clean. Staff was friendly and room service / housekeeping was quite prompt. Was just as good as any above-average chain hotel; however, this is not a high end property as well. You're not going to have a 40+ plasma TV in the room and a smaller one in the bathroom (which has a seperate spa tub from the shower). For the value though, it's perfectly fine, and did you really go to Vegas to watch TV in your room (or the bathroom for that matter)? The pool was pretty decent. Again, this is not a strip property where you're gonna have your rock star / celebrity types, etc. etc. with all the attitude that goes with it. Instead, a more laid back environment. Could it have been more plush? Sure. Still, good enough. Dining: Don't expect Emeril or Wolfgang Puck to have a restuarant in here. That being said, they have a pretty solid mexican restuarant, and The Oyster Bar is a well kept secret of having the best clam chowder in Vegas. Seriously. Oh yeah, if you like that place famous for chicken wings that ryhmes with "Schmooter's", all you have to do is take the elevator down from your room and walk across the casino floor a little bit, and there you are. I'm not much of a gambler, but if you like $5 tables, no problem here. As far as entertainment, they have shows at their small venue (Club Madrid) on the weekends. Additionally, they have a relatively new movie theater as well as a bowling alley. Both marks of a local casino. Again, I have a bias towards the property, but nonetheless, for the small amount I paid to stay there, it is a tremendous value!

We were here for a soft ball tournament. Perfect location to travel to the fields, my daughter loved the pool and the food was great and the Strip was close, shopping and great food was a stones throw away and the Freeway access to anywhere we wanted to go was great (10 minutes to down town) whether we traveled 515 or 215.
