Location
Ideally set on the shores of a sheltered lagoon, the Sunset Resort is only 8-minute drive from the main town of Avarua and just a few minutes from the Golf Course. The secluded beachfront location of the hotel on the sheltered western side of the island, provides guests with an unspoilt view of Rarotonga's exotic sunsets.
Rooms
The hotel boasts comfortable accommodation units that are spacious and come with all modern conveniences. All the accommodation units feature a kitchen, which is fully equipped for those guests who love cooking.
Restaurant
You can dine at the onsite Sunset Bistro Restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and also offers a large selection of tasty meals throughout the day for you to feast on. The Mix & Mingle Cocktail Bar is an ideal place for enjoying a refreshing drink and meeting friends in a pleasant ambience.

Sunset Resort Guest Reviews
We stayed in both beachfront unit (well appointed) and a poolside unit (not as well sited but still OK). The hotel is on the sheltered side of Raro, near to the airport and town and has several good restaurants within walking distance. Generally fairly good value with no complaints.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and modern and the hotel is quiet with a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The beach is beautiful and the food at the restaurant was very good. We had a wonderful week at the Sunset Resort and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax.

The hotel is not ideally situated - being several miles from the main town and not near any shops. However it is on a bus route. Transport was provided from the airport to the hotel but this was overpriced. The beach is rocky. The rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable with air conditioning.
