Sunset Beach Resort Phuket Guest Reviews
We have stayed at this resort three times ,and have had marvellous service each time.We plan to return there next year also.It offers great accomodation and excellent amenities for both young and old and its distance from the hub bub of Patong itself allows a for a restfull time as well as being able to be in with the action as much as you want to be.

This resort is located at the northern end of Patong Beach which is very quiet and peaceful away from all the noisy bars, cheap guesthouses etc. of central Patong. There is a generous breakfast buffet which unfortunately is very crowded most mornings making it feel a bit competitive to get your breakfast. Lunches and dinners are reasonably priced at the hotel. The beach across the road from the hotel is a bit rocky so one must either use the hotel pool or take the hotel shuttle to the main part of Patong Beach. I stayed in the off season and received a great rate however in the peak season (Christmas/New Year) Phuket is very expensive and I am not sure at peak rates whether I would feel this hotel was such good value.

Free hotel bus takes you into Patong (4kms away) every half an hour thus you are away from the hype of Patong. Staff extremely helpful.

As long as you don't get a room facing the main road it is wonderfully quiet! The rooms (deluxe) are big & well appointed, the bathroom has a shower & a bath tub. A shuttle bus leaves every 1/2 hour to the centre of Patong, which is brilliant. Don't forget to memorise where they let you off (opp. "bookzine"). At night the location changes as they close the street to traffic, so go in at 6pm one day to see the new location. The staff do not speak very much english, but as long you do not have special requirements it's ok. Do not have a massage there as they don't know what massage means. I had oil and moisturiser spread on me and that was it. I went on a full day snorkeling trip to Khai Nui, Khai Nok and Khai Nai (3 Island). However, the coral is dead & there a only few fish to be seen, unless you are a strong swimmer & game to go out quite far. A guy who did this saw some live coral & 2 sharks. Also, the 2 deckchairs & umbrella cost 150 baht to rent on each island.
