Sullivans Hotel Perth
2 out of 5

Location was good, but the hotel is showing it's age with the rooms needing renovations badly, very old school bathroom. It had basic amenities but was reasonably clean although there was some smell in the room. The staff were friendly and attentive. Value wise, it was good at a discounted weekend rate, but if the weekly rate was applied then it would be really poor value as you can get a 4 or even a 5 star hotel at the same rate. It's ok for a short stay if the rate was right, as long as you just want somewhere to sleep and not looking for a little more comfort and pampering.

We got a queen plus single bed. A very basic hotel room with basic amenities. Clean and comfortable. Good value for $

This was the first time we had stayed at Sullivans, we stayed here because it was right next door to the hospital and very convenient. We were a bit apprehensive because the deal seemed to good to be true but fortunately we were pleasantly surprised. We were also concerned that there might not be enough parking but we never had a problem securing a car park. Excellent location and lovely staff. Thank you

This is our third stay here and for the first time we were unable to connect to the internet . The wifi system seemed to be very complicated. Fortunately I could use the free wifi access and computer located in the lobby. As always, the food and service was excellent. Thanks. I was amazed to see that the original price quoted was over $230 per night, but when I called to enquire about this, was advised to wait to book until a few days prior to the night required as the price would go down to a more affordable level. It certainly did.

The staff were very nice but I had to laugh when told we had been upgraded to a 'deluxe room' to find it so sparsely furnished I have seen hospital rooms more luxurious. There was no proper fridge, no where to plug in the kettle, no DVD player, one chair (for two people), insufficient power points to cope with phone chargers or laptops. I realise everything (except tires) are more expensive in WA but if this hotel was in Sydney it would rate as a backpackers lodge. It was very clean - just minimal.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the best I've experienced in Perth. Rooms/hotel is a bit dated but they have the best showers in town. Rooms clean and comfortable. Free Blue cat bus at the door and free wifi. This hotel is the best value in Perth.

Good location, only required 1 night before going to the airport. Staff courteous, found room had a flickering light in the bathroom and we were promptly moved to another room - no problem. Difficult to see signage out the front, particularly at night in winter but otherwise very convenient hassle free stay. Didn't use the restaurant, as we arrived late and left early morning, so can't comment.

Staff could not be nicer, thankyou so much. Friendly and more than helpful with all requests. Beds were the most comfortable ones that we have had in a long time, thank you for an enjoyable stay :)

great location but the room was so small we thought we were in solitary confinement and there was no flywire on window, bit of a safety issue there. only 3 pillows for 2 people were in room.

The hotel reception staff were excellent and I was fortunate to be given an upgrade room. The room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking parklands. There was more than ample desk space for work, and the room was well-appointed with a large comfortable sofa.

I found Sullivans Hotel satisfactory as a short stay hotel. The location is good for easy access to the city with bus stop right outside. The front rooms have a good view of the park opposite and the Swan river, unfortunately i had a rear facing room with a small window with a view of the hill behind. The room was small, basic and uninspiring, with no paintings or additions to plain white walls and ceiling. the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also small yet both were very clean. The owners and staff were very hospitable and obliging, providing a good service at the small house bar and at the resteraunt where the meals were of good value both price wise and quality and quantity. The pool area was clean and well appointed, and again the access to and quality of service was good. Free wireless internet access in the rooms and free movies as well as free parking were definate advantages. In summary: the experience was a good one and the accommodation suited my needs for that particular stay.

For the price I thought this place would be very shabby and old. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are small but they are clean and modern with flat screen TV's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't get better value in Perth!

I enjoyed the family/small hotel atmosphere of this property. The room was clean but not fancy, the restaurant pleasant. The best thing were the staff, very helpful, especially when getting directions to leave PERTH and the best route to continue our travel. The carpark was quite crowded and not easy to get into and out of...but at least they had free parking. The breakfast was nice and fairly good value. There is a bus stop almost directly out the front that give good connections to the city if you don't want to walk. Overall a pleasant stay.
