The service is outstanding, especially in regards to the attention our two year old received. We were upgraded and given a late check out for no extra charge. Would recommend and stay again.

Sukhothai Hotel Bangkok

Very comfortable hotel which makes you forget you are in the middle of a big city. Rooms: Great - lots of silk furnishings and lovely views over the inner courtyard. Staff: Professional & helpful, but lacking the friendliness of the Oriental. Spa: Not great - the treatment room was at the back of the manager''s office. I had to squeeze behind his chair to get to the room and could hear him on the phone throughout my massage. Mirrors: Too many of them - I kept walking into them thinking they were glass doors!

Overall - I would recommend this hotel for a short break, especially for the grounds and the fact that it is so different from your normal city hotel. However,I think I would still prefer the Oriental for overall service and ambience.

Sukhothai Hotel Bangkok

This is a wonderful hotel if you are looking for a serene, relaxing environment. The service is impeccable. If you are looking for a big, glitzy hotel, this is not the place for you.

We were very happy in the hotel. Everything is perfect. Staff was extremely helpful. The design of the hotel is beautiful. What we liked most was the tranquilness. Once you entered the hotel you forgot about noisy Bangkok!

The hotel is lovely. If you want convenience, I would recommend other hotels in BKK. The nearest bts station is over 10 minutes walking. With the traffic in BKK, I like to use the bts. also, there is no shopping near by like the other hotels on Silom or Sukhumvit for example.

The spa is very small - only 3 rooms. It was full when I was there. I did have a massage in the room, but the scrubs and other treatments are not available for in room service.

A very comfortable place for those who want a taste of Thailand, in a very warm and homey atmosphere. I have stayed at the Oriental, Shangri-La and other major hotels in Bangkok, but this was the best for what I wanted. Just to relax. No pressure, very friendly, and the staff are excellent. The expense is worth it if that is the type of stay you want.

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, real Thai hospitality. It''s a very quite place since it''s not right in the middle of the centre of Bangkok, which we valued very much. Being able to escape to this heaven after a day in the city.

A beautiful hotel design, with water and garden features. Easy walking access to the Suan Lum night market, plus the new subway station at Lumpini Park makes the location acceptable. Friendly staff, as usual in Thailand. Nice pool, although shaded by late afternoon, plus tennis court. Overall on a par with either of these great hotels.

The Sukhothai is an excellent hotel for business and leisure. Its settings makes you feel like being in a resort yet well located in Bangkok. There is an excellent buffet breakfast. The welcome chocolates in the room were excellent. Our experience at the Celadon (Thai) restaurant this time (we have been a few other times in this hotel) was a bit disappointing.

Overall, my stay was excellent. Just small things that kind of bothered me was attitude of restaurant manager as we were about to have Sunday brunch. As the buffet was about to close, rather than telling us he cannot accept us if we are there for buffet, he should have said that the restaurant at that time is now only taking orders from the menu. I could not feel the warmth or hospitality as I had done at other times. Rather than showing his own situation, he should have tried to accommodate the guests with warm hospitality. On that point, I felt that there was a lapse in its overall service. Still, I would highly recommend the hotel and I plan to return there again. Limousine service between airport and hotel is excellent as driver was warm and courteous.

Stayed at the executive suite, and satisfied very much. The only thing I didn''t like was the interior. Too many mirrors in the elevator and the bathroom. And I didn''t like the layout of the bathroom. Overall, I would give them 90 out of 100.

Great hotel and atmosphere. It was a pity that the famous Thai restaurant in the Hotel was closed for a private party. Apart from this it had been a fantastic stay. I recommend the rooms that face the garden.

I would recommend this hotel over any of the other luxury class hotels in Bangkok. The gardens and pool are peaceful and beautiful, the decor inside the lobby and other areas of the hotel magnificently serene and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Sukhothai Hotel over other more popular hotels. Just fantastic.
