While the renovations are unobtrusive, the older rooms really are in need of upgrading if it is still to be 5 Star.The location is good - nice and central and north facing rooms will give a better view. Breakfast (included) had a good selection

My wife is a 'Princess' - and even the Princess was impressed!! The Stamford Plaza raised the bar. The only demeaning merit points were for the ajoining restaurant (outside/upstairs) - just didn't look as classy as the rest of the venue, but good service, lovely food and drink.

Very enjoyable stay. Wonderful staff. Great Views. Walking distance to everything. A stones throw from the Train/Tram/Bus too. Great to relax in the pool under the stars. Wonderful breakfast.
