The Huelva Rundown ... Read more »
Huelva in Andalucía, Spain, is a pleasant vacation destination boasting an array of pretty plazas, interesting historical monuments and a bustling port area featuring many bars and restaurants. At the Museo de Huelva, you can witness the artefacts left by settlers many centuries ago. Huelva is also home to several notable churches, including the city’s oldest, Iglesia de San Pedro. The central palm-lined Plaza de las Monjas is the hub of the city and features a pedestrian-only shopping district where you can blow your holiday budget. Huelva is relatively compact, meaning you can easily see the main sights by foot, such as Parque Moret, the city’s largest park with stunning views over the Odiel estuary.
In the evening, you can enjoy plays, concerts, operas and films at the Gran Teatro. For a night out on the town, head to Calle Pablo Rada and Calle for your choice of bars. If you are interested in listening to live music, Sala de la Nave on Calle Fuenteheridos in the Molino de la Vega district features jazz concerts, flamenco dancing and live hip hop and rock music.
